Irvin Dazl St-Louis is an athlete, dancer/street performer, and vegan for 21 years, but after a series of events decided to reintroduce meat into his diet in 2017, which culminated in going full Carnivore in 2022. Going from not allowing any meat into his house to going entirely meat based was a dramatic change, and certainly surprised his kids. But dramatic changes can lead to dramatic results, and now at 48, and full Carnivore, he is healthier and more active than ever. Enjoy!

  • I can relate to your story. I was a crazy righteous Vegan for 13 years. Raised my kids vegan. Ran 6 miles a day and was fit. I was depressed and lost my uterus and Developed Hashimoto’s. Vegan is a carb addicted diet and very high inflammation. Carnivore now and struggling with Oxalate dumping from all that spinach and high oxalate diet! Wish I would of been raised as a carnivore and not a sugar addict!
  • This just shows how resilient, and downright MIRACULOUS, the human body is that it can be starved for nutrients for 20 years and survive. CRAZY.

I don’t know how this man lasted 20 years. Wow. I was an ethical, wfpb vegan for almost 5 years and living that lifestyle for that timeframe wrecked my health. Near the end my whole body hurt everyday. Just walking would make my knees achy. I had so much swelling and fluid retention… digestive issues, what went in came right back out. Bloating was horrible! Gas was horrible! I developed skin rashes, and sensitivity to things that I’ve never had before. I couldn’t regulate my body temperature. I was so sensitive to the cold and hot. The sunshine set my skin on fire. I became allergic to bees and wasps. Developed food sensitivities. My hair was thin and brittle as were my nails. I looked so much older than I was. I had no motivation to do anything. I developed depression, severe anxiety, brain fog, memory issues, overall cognitive decline. My mood was a constant struggle of being unstable. I was not a nice person and then I would cry. I’m so happy that I decided to reintroduce animal products into my life. They literally saved me from torture. I remember when I had my first taste of butter… everything came alive again. I remember saying “why did I ever give this up?” After a few months into eating a very heavy animal based diet full of eggs, butter and red meat… all my issues were gone completely. The only time I experience anything is when I eat more plants. So meat, eggs, butter and eggs will forever be my diet.
  • I raised my kids vegetarian too and I regret it. They are grain addicts. They are so addicted. I feel awful about it. Trying to make the shift for them now. ❤
  • 30 YEARS AS A VEGAN and last year I started eating fish and then went to eating red meat in the last few months and what a difference! My muscles are larger and more defined and some aches and pains are disappearing. I’m thinking of eliminating vegetables altogether as well as any grains and see what happens. I wonder now if I was just flat out eating wrong for 3 decades. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Hi I was a vegan for 4 1/2 years, I started feeling good at first when I started eating vegan then about a year after I started feeling tired dizzy to the point I was taken to the hospital thinking I was having a stroke luckily it was not they said I had vertigo,so I continued eating vegan and for all this time i was just hurting myself, I turned up low in iron, thyroid nodules, pre diabetic, knee pain, swollen body, uti, pins and needles hands and feet. gained alot of weight 250 pounds now and the weight just kept going up and my stomach growing. Till I saw a video of Dr berry I watched it and my mind just clicked then that led me to a hole other videos. now I'm watching this video. Two months ago I started eating eggs I felt guilty but I felt amazing feeling energy then I tried fish, chicken, and tomorrow I'm trying beef for the first time. I just finally woke up from this nightmare that was just hurting me.

I’ve been eating just meat for two weeks now. What I’ve noticed the most is that my depression and anxiety are gone. I was in hell before this. So depressed that I actually believed I had psychological issues. Now I feel grounded and clear minded! I wake up happy! Arthritis has diminished a lot, and the horrible rash I couldn’t get rid of is getting noticeably better. It was bad with pustules that hurt. It’s now drying up and from what I see now, it’ll be gone in a few weeks. This diet has saved my life.
  • @Amott101
Been strict carnivore now for 3mths, so easy to do and feel amazing.... the hardest struggle is watching wife and kids eat a carb based, sugar loaded diet and just not know what they are doing to themselves. Whilst thinking dads a nutter 😢😢😢
  • @truthoutnow
I started carnivore on january first this year. Lost about 35 kg / ~70 lb. I can see my six pack again, witout any training. This is crazy, i am turning 40 this year. Feeling like 25 years old😅. Thank God i found the meat gang on YT. Thank you doc!
  • I’m been a gym goer most my life , eating 400g of carbs daily after being hoodwinked in believing we need huge amounts of carbs to build muscle, always felt tired, constant fatigue , pale skin, huge toilet visits that resembled small oak trees, slowly transitioning over to carnivore, steak eggs, few berries and full fat yoghurt and I’m loving it. Toilet every other day , muscle mass increasing through the roof, no diarrhoea, loads of energy and no more cooking and eating 500g white rice daily to try and fit in 6 meals a day, you’ve got my vote doc 🙏
  • A few months ago I was trying as hard as I could to lower my carbs as I was pre-diabetic. It was hard. A couple of weeks ago I started a carnivore diet.....within 5 days my blood count was back to normal and I'm no longer pre-diabetic 😊 I no longer feel hungry all day and I've stopped binge eating.
  • I went from 18 years of veganism and mostly vegetarian since my 20s...to FINALLY eating meat again on a daily basis in my 60s! I immediately felt better! I am on Day 90 and am celebrating with a New York Steak and lots of butter, right now! Plants were trying to kill me. I am so glad they didn't succeed.
  • @LouStoriale
I was a vegan and vegetarian during my very early 20s. First 3 days of U.S. Army Basic Training cured that nonsense. I scored a 319 on PT Score with max of 300 score standard. Now as 51 year old, my body changed quite a bit and now meat is the only thing that doesn’t cause my body distress. I ate deer meat for a month in December from a successful hunt this past year and it was like giving my body an internal massage. Love it.
  • @justthinking526
I'm nearly 70, and have been meat adverse my whole life. I've been mostly vegan aince high school, grain and sugar free for years. For the past few years my stomach hurt an hour or two after eating. I did a deep dive into carnivore, and am on day 4 of my carnivore journey. So far i am eating eggs and shaved chicken, and a bit of fish. So far no pain! I do plan on eating red ruminate meat, but that is a trip, getting my head around it.
  • @Anna-ol3qs
Hi from Greece! I was vegetarian for 19 years, on 2019 I started eating meat again but with greens, carbs all these stuff. It's about a week now I eat only meat and eggs and it's the first time, after my youth that I don't feel pains on my body or I wake up with no eye bags. I am impressed and so happy my friend but the mainstream narrative is against meat, anyway all mainstream media or universities and well paid scientists make various studies about how good is to be a veggie, these all are opposed to everything that it's normal or beneficial for humans. For me obviously there is a secret war against humanity (see vaccination and all these suddenly deaths) in this war try to convince people that the harmful staff is good in order to be always ill so you are a good client of farmaseuticas and of course to die young so they don't have to pay your pension. Feel incredibly better only in one week!! Thanks for the info you provide.

I didn't expect a shoutout for Thomas Sowell, but I'm here for it. Dr. Chaffee, you're absolutely right that he's a genius with common sense. Love the man and admire him so much. Love this interview. It was a joy to listen to you and Mr. St. Louis.
  • I admire this man. He is a strong man, because he has a strong mind, was able to admit that he was mistaken and move forward intellectually. That's all too rare. Great conversation. One of my favorites. Thanks!
  • Wow, my body pains started after I followed strick plant based diet for 3 years. That time I took so much care of myself, I was eating only organic, best quality, decent ammount of plants & fruit and legumes and...after loosing weight (however I never was fat) I started to feel the weakness in my body. My friends started worrying about me. I looked at my photos and realized how tired and sick I showed in them during the veggie stage. After injuring my arm during yoga (which I practised for 3 years) I knew my body had enought. On top of that my memory started to vanish, I had to check myself 2-3 times to remember. My hair became so fragile, thin and I developed lots of grey hair. I am 52 now, and since 2 years predominally eating eggs, meat, raw kefir, meat brooth and ocassional fruit. I feel much stronger, no iinuries, sharp memory. My hairdresser commented that my hair improved so much. Some people can be vegans for years, but not me, veganism would have finished me in 5 years if I had not started eating proper human foods.
  • @nopenope7777
I was vegan for 2 or 3 years. It was the best I ever felt and the lowest weight I had been. However the hunger everyday was an uphill battle and I realized I only had the willpower if I was feeding my sugar addiction with sweets as treats. I'm excited to try carnivore and see how it works out
  • My wife was exactly the same way a 10-year vegetarian who bragged about it then after seeing my success she gave it up without even thinking. Now she looks back and can't imagine how she fell for the propaganda
