Paia Town is a famous, historic town on the Windward side of Maui. You'll go through Paia on The Road To Hana and going to Mama's Fish House. Hookipa Beach Park is also just past Paia Town. bit.ly/2mYiqq4 I hope you can spend some type in this vibrant, quaint town.

I very much enjoyed this video as well. Back in 1990, when I worked as a driver for Maui Downhill, we would begin the downhill bicycle tour at the 9,745 foot elevation point, just below the summit and end up at sea level in the town of Paia.

We just returned from Maui. Paia was so much fun and one of my favorite places on the island.

Great video! I appreciate your pronunciation! We were told Pie-Ah. Yikes we were saying it wrong the whole visit. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Paia fish market. And loved Baldwin beach! We were there Feb 2021, many of the shops etc were not open the day we went so we really enjoyed your tour! Thanks ~Cara 😊

It looks nothing like Paia of the 70's and 80's. That's when there were really good local restaurants. Larry's for an example. Best spareribs and rice. Nagata's Store, Economy Market, the Houriuchi market. And a local favorite for the guys the Pool Hall. Charlie's is still there I see. Seems like not many locals walking around on the streets, mostly tourists
