  • Yes! Many great tips here. Newbie geocachers can benefit from watching this video!
  • Great series mate, views are creeping up too. An old acronym I don't see often anymore was the GAFF System - Geocaching Assistance Finding Factor. Found cache, GAFF 1 was the goal! GAFF 0 - Wasn't actually out caching, didn't even look at GPS, thought, "Gee that's a nice spot for a cache". Looked and found a cache. GAFF 1 - Read the cache page and found the cache using the co-ords listed. Did not read any previous logs and definitely did not look at the hint. GAFF 2 - Read the cache page and scrolled the logs then found the cache. GAFF 3 - Read the cache page, read the logs and peeked at the hint, then found the cache. GAFF 4 - Read the cache page, read the logs, the hint, called a previous finder or the owner and received a cryptic hint, then found the cache. GAFF 5 - Cache or location handed to you on a silver platter with pen ready to go. (Shame!)

Man... I wish I had watched this when we first started caching 7 years ago! So much helpful information!
  • @megana5766
No way!!! Was listening to this as I walked to coordinates of my first find! Thanks for the tip to look under lamp posts 😁
  • SLTNLN = signed log took nothing left nothing. TFTT = Thanks for the Tips! 🤠👍

As a beginner geacacher I would appreciate video on stealth. I do really have problems with being stealthy when looking for cache. Such video would be very useful because there is little info on this topic. Greetings from Slovakia. Keep on making great videos.
  • I love it! This is great! Such good advice. And the production value is really great. Well done. Forwarding it along.
  • TFTV 😁 Watched it GVM (Great Video Mate) But what happened to SGP or SPOS (Suspicious GeoPile/Pile Of Sticks?) And seriously - another great video - absolutely flawless! And such great info for the new people. This should be on EVERYONE'S list for Newbies (make notes, folks!) I am also SO VERY GLAD that you are doing another series! But...what is a Cachly Cache Type? 😎
  • @WolfWriterL.P
I’m not a beginner but Benefitted from this video 🤣👏
  • Nice tips! Looking forward to the next series!! The tip about putting the phone away is SO GOOD cause that's how we got better at finding!
  • Some great tips for beginners. I loved the third tip haha. Tell the fifth tip to my dad, he always tells me to follow the GPS and get to 1 or 2 metres. Thanks for sharing!
  • I've only found 66 caches but after watching this I'll have to work on writing better logs. Thanks for the tips!
  • Loved the Series of 10, returning to the hunt after about 15 years break, started with the kids, then life happened, not its time to return. It has changed so much. We would write down the coordinates and take print offs with us. Now to trial with smart phone. (Nidhoggs minus two nidhogglets)
  • Lotsa good tips. I've had a few LEO encounters myself. Just have to be smart and respectful! They like geocachers :)
  • LOL Events are important for pof. Thanks for the giving good newbie tips. Thanks for the laugh.
