Been there many times for vacations. It's a beautiful and historic town with trees all around, mountains in the background, friendly people, elk walking through the middle of town. So glad they saved most of it.

We were there many times in the 70’s. Such a beautiful place.

Poor Jasper. I wish the town a speedy recovery.

How come the buildings are rubble, and there's a lovely untouched forest in the background?

This was a completely preventable occurrence that happened due to negligence and poor forest management. Massive areas of forest dry and dead from pine beetle infestations + a national park service that is too incompetent to cut it down or do controlled burns. Parliament was warned seven years ago that this could happen, but nothing was done.

I am so sorry. I visited Jasper 2 years ago. It was such a beautiful town. I hope they can rebuild and afford the insurance afterwards. (I am from Tahoe, many of us got dropped from the insurance after the fire)

The Canadian scientists warned the government that clearcutting the coastal rainforests would result in droughts. It used to rain every afternoon. Now there’s no rain in the Rockies

To our dear Canadian brothers and sisters to our north, we are so sorry for this devastation. You will be in our prayers. From Idaho Falls ... God bless and keep you.

  • 👍👍 Thanks for the update! Despite the economic recession, I no longer depend on Government Grants since I acquire $86,400 weekly profits.
