There's something big down there. When I lived at Tahoe, a friend called me and said, "Come over quick you've got to see this." He had been trolling on the lake when he hooked a 10 lb+ lake trout. He said as he was reeling it in he felt a big tug and then the line went slack. What he finally reeled in was a 10+ lb lake trout that was half gone. There was a big crescent shaped bite mark, and the back half of the fish was gone. Something is big enough down there to treat a 10 lb lake trout like a minnow.

The deeper you go the older the fish. Can get very large. Live longer. I've heard some fish Live for 100 years or more. Can you imagine getting a photo like that. Incredible

I lived in Jackson CA in the 1950's, a fellow my dad worked with fished Tahoe regularly and caught a few fish, one was Strugen about 3 feet long. Those fish live way down on the bottoms where they feed.

Researchers: We’ve spent millions on expensive equipment and we haven’t been able to reached the bottom. Some Kid: I put a GoPro on a spear with some sardines. 😂😂😂😂

sure is odd that there were 1080p GoPro's and similar even then, yet we see an out-of-focus 360-like resolution video? What's the point?

A place on this planet that no human being has ever seen. Wow.. very cool

Could be there's a giant sturgeon living in Lake Tahoe's depths.
  • I lived there in the '70's and there were legends back then also. It was rumored there was no bottom to the lake, and underwater tunnels that ran for miles.

Exciting, wonderful to see a curious young scientist reaching down safely for answers.

Dear petly . If you time it and stop it 5 feet from the bottoms you might get to see more than silt ... you also need to drop lights around it .. attach them to bobbers and have 20 plus sitting in the circle your filming ... would lov3 to help work on this and plan this out

I was in jail once and a guy admitted to me he dumped his old meth lab into lake tahoe from a house boat. I have no way to know if he was telling the truth.
  • That looks nothing like any trout I've ever caught. Looks more like a catfish.

This whole thing, even after 6 years, is fishy.
