A look at some of the must-see moments of James Dutton in 1883.

#ParamountPlus #1883

1883, a Yellowstone origin story, follows the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America. From Academy Award nominee Taylor Sheridan, co-creator of Yellowstone, 1883 is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America’s promised land — Montana.

  • “That’s my heart you’re running off with. You better cradle it like an egg”. That quote has stuck with me since I’ve heard it.

My grandpa used to be obsessed with old cowboy films. He was a badass of his own. Never thought I would grow up loving the same things but after experiencing Doc Holliday in Tombstone it was a wrap.

My daughter is my first born. She is my heart & soul. Raised her to be tough in a mans world but still be a lady. She is everything a Father could ever want in a child. God fearing, tough, strong willed, hard working, smart, loyal to her friends & family & my best friend too.
  • Hands down the best TV show I've ever seen. I know I'm repeating myself, but it's just the truth. The ending was gut wrenching...
  • Tim McGraw is extremely underrated as an actor. He’s killed it in every role he’s played.

I love all of the Yellowstone but 1883 is my favourite.

24:25, the most emotionally gripping writing I’ve ever seen from Taylor Sheridan. And may ever see!

the cost of living to an old age is watching those you love go before you. the elderly do not fear death, they embrace it as an ending of pain and sorrow.
  • Best part of this series was the daughters inevitable demise...and then she became the narrator for the sequel series....*deep sigh*
  • I had always held Lonesome Dove higher than any other TV program I had ever seen. Then 1883 came along and made me question that. Such amazing character development in both of them. Then there is the reality of just how hard life was, less than a century and a half ago. That is just 3 generations before me. They are both amazing takes on that era of our country and I love them.

Really good series wish they would have made more episodes of 1883.
  • I'm glad you made this video, it reminds me of my transformation from a nobody to good home, $75k biweekly and a good daughter full of love
  • Elsa dreamed it. John and Margaret found it. Jacob and Cara made it prosper.
