#ParamountPlus #1883
1883, a Yellowstone origin story, follows the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America. From Academy Award nominee Taylor Sheridan, co-creator of Yellowstone, 1883 is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America’s promised land — Montana.

Youtube randomly recommended this to me. It's so simple and beautiful

My father was native american and my mother was white mixed with italian, Irish. I'm proud of mixed heritage and I've experienced prejudice from both sides . I love both native and white. I accept what I am. People ask me what I am I say I'm a human being but there are those who say I just say indian or I'm not white enough to be white. I definitely relate to this story from my deceased parents

I could watch an entire series with these two! Sam & Elsa's chemistry is insane.

Elsa and Sam...the greatest story never really told. What I wouldn't have done for a series just based on the two of them and their journey of what could've been.
-
"I am the wife of a warrior, which means I am a warrior. And warriors don't cry". And when it came down to it, Elsa fought like a warrior. Killing not one but two warriors and keening the Comanche death cry. Gawd, how amazing!

"I belong to the people and the people belong to this land. We don't dare leave it. Maybe some day you'll find land to belong to and you'll know what I mean." Such amazing foreshadowing considering he puts Dutton ranch on the same land as where he buried Elsa and then future generations put up a hell of a fight keeping it in the family name.

This actress is by far one of my favourites she’s so beautiful not just in looks but how she is and her aura!!

I love the way this show portrays Natives and Europeans. I love the respect given to both sides and that even though our history together was tough, I love that it shows how we can love each other and respect each other even with our differences. We are all Americans.
-
Their love is why I loved this show. It’s heartbreaking & beautiful.

Taylor Sheridan is a genius. In this tale, he includes every facet of the Old West, and even the misery is glorious. I'd vote "1883" as the finest Western Story ever told.
-
Sam has such an amazing hair...flawless smooth and silky ❤

I am Hebrew, Egyptian, and Norwegian...not everyone lives in hate or division. In fact there's more mixed children than not out there. This was nicely done.
-
My baby daddy is native and he’s never been so amazing as Sam. As a native chick it’s so nice to see a native man being this assertive and caring. He loved her.
-
Their goodbye always gets me in tears. 🥹❤️

This was beautiful. I am white and Cherokee on both sides of my family, and this makes me feel very close to my ancestors and their story. I see my grandmothers and grandfathers in them.❤️ We are all human. That’s all that should matter.

Powerful. Gives me chills and fills my eyes with tears every time. It pulls you in, holds you tightly and you never want it to end. That's powerful.
