  • FlatOut 2 and Ultimate Carnage are legit two of the best racing and overall best games out there.

One point to add. Flatout 2 drivers had their own driving styles. Sofia Martinez, Jack Benton and Katie Jackon are some of the notable drivers whom you would immediately ram into the wall if you get the chance.
  • The damage model is so detailed that if you switch the viewpoint to the front of your vehicle you can see the fan blades in the engine turning!
  • 10:10 Just quick note for the AI here. I love how in FO2 and FOUC each AI is different - they don't differ just by car but also by driving style and their reactions. Some avoid collision (Ray), some force it (Katie), some crash when you touch them (Sally and many more :D), some are almost impossible to force from track by small crash (Lewis) and many more differences - I can write essay about it xD I don't know what other racing game is like this. When you were talking about rubber banding. In FOUC there are actually 2 types of it. One is normal, where they are faster behind you and slower in front of you. Second one is rubber banding to each other as a 'pack'. It does similar thing and outcome is that they drive closer to each other (as a pack), so more action is together and around you. Downside is ofc at things that rubber banding is bad and the thing that when you are very ahead they start dying in the back because they have huge acceleration, top speed and no turning or bigger gravity when they jump, overjump and crash :D Also the ones that are first becomes slower than they should be because poor Frank Malkov is 2 laps behind :D I modded the game by removing rubber banding and actually when Jack Benton does not crash at the start and becomes first in the first round - you have big problem in caching him when you have slow car. Even if you pick Sunray as he has you can have some problems to catch him if you do 2 or more mistakes per lap.
  • I can agree with everything, but fo2's soundtrack is unbeatable
  • Spot on. Although a quick shout out to Flatout: Head On, which while featuring some technical downgrades to the frame rate and visuals, gave a solid Flatout experience on the go.
  • I honestly only remember the 1st one. But man I played it hours on hours wen I was a kid. It was one of thoz games where I had zero concept of what to do or how to play. But I would just drive around and crash the car for hours. Shooting the driver to see how high he could go was always fun too.

you forgot the best part, there are cars in FlatOut 2 and Ultimate Carnage who use car sounds from FlatOut 1. for example: the SwitchBlade sounds like the Blade from the first game. the SpeeDevil sounds like the Bullet from the first game. i like this, its a nice thing
  • Flatout: Headon (PSP) - Looks like a blend of all the games - While I've only played the PSP version, I think it's one of the best racing games/series ever. Reminds me of all the crashing I'd do in gta 4 for similar reasons. Nice video mAn, the trashing of those couple of games was hilarious 🤣

I think one hidden gems behind all these is Flatout Head On on the PSP. That’s the first Flatout game that introduced me to the series. Definitely recommend playing it. Graphics and performance are on the PSP so that may vary but the bones of the game is great!
  • Hell yes dude I was ADDICTED to FlatOut2 during the PS2 era. Been hoping for a rerelease or another game like it for PS4 ever since.

I am a huge fan of BugBear with their Wreckfest Demo aka "Next Car Game". The physics and the ai are so smart in that game. Honestly, Bugbear knows how to make a destrouction racing game. It's amazing.

I remember the first flatout and I didn't know they made more. I fell in love with wreckfest and it was a MINDBLOWER to find out they're cousins lol
  • I will never forget growing up playing flatout 2 on my uncle's computer
  • @Aztroguy
Man I remember the days when me and my older brother played FlatOut 2. It was SO FUN. And when I sya fun, it means solid fun. It's one of my most favorite games considering that I played a lot more games than usually people play. I didn't have the Flatout UC, but I still do have the Flatout 2 at my grandma's house. Really enjoy remembering the old days.
  • Damnn, back in the day me and my friends used to play this in LAN, 8 ppl, beer, weed, and many many hours spent on FlatOut 2UC, Destruction most of the time. Love the game <3

Great video. I only recently discovered the Flatout games. I used to love Burnout games especially Burnout 3: Takedown back in the day, somehow the Flatout games completely passed me by back then. But I actually think Ultimate Carnage may at least as good if not better than Burnout 3. I really like Wreckfest too as well, great fun, maybe just as playable as Ultimate Takedown but the soundtrack lets it down for me. Be good to see a ranking video from you on the Burnout games.
  • Listening to the flatout 2 UC soundtrack while playing wreckfest 👌🏻👌🏻
  • The fact that you used Go Down from Unreal Tournament 1999 while talking about Flatout UC is the reason I am subscribing.
  • I remenber playing flatout 2 with my dad on the ps2 i have so many memories and i think that if i hadnt played that game a long with a few others i woulnt be playing games to this day and that i would be a much different person i just cant image were i would be if i hadnt played those games they are such a Big part of my childhood and i loved every single moment i spend on those games
