Just turned 81. This is THE music of my teenage years. In time of trouble (Carona virus this time) this is the music I automatically turn two. Absolutely timeless and sincere. Brings tears to the old eyes. Let’s pray that we come through this terrible scourge. Stay safe and pray/hope that whatever Deity is looking down on us gets us through.

A masterpiece, one of the best songs ever made in all of music.
  • I was in my teens when these two gentlemen were singing together! They put out some of the best music I'd ever heard. It reached down right into my very soul! I don't know how they knew about a lot of things in my life...and in the lives of many of my friends. This song reminds me of a friend who had a battle ahead of him, and he nearly gave up. This became his theme song for his life...and he's still going strong today! It's been my theme song at times as well. Great music, and it needs to be shared with this generation. I'm glad it's here for them!

I'm only 37 but I remember driving to Wales as a holiday with my mum, dad and little brother as a young girl. Reminds me of the window open blowing wind in my face. I wanna cry, I miss you dad
  • In this terrible time of Covid-19 music is the best for trying to escape reality. I'm a retired mental health nurse from England. I want to reach out to you, if you are alone and/ or afraid. Please don't be. Listen to your music that reassures, energises, or calms you. Please stay safe and sing to your favourite songs. God bless xx

The music of Simon & Garfunkel carry so much atmosphere and emotion. I'm 17 and have now been listening to them for a little over a year. There's no other music with more emotion, atmosphere and soul than Simon & Garfunkel, in my opinion. I love to write and I was listening to this song with my notebook in front of me. Wrote a short story out of this song. One of their best songs, in my opinion. Love it.

When I was in Cobra Helicopter training, I use to listen to this song as we flew low-level down the train tracks to Ft Stewart for gunnery training. Getting ready to go back to Vietnam for my second tour, it spoke to me as the boxer in the corner waiting for the fight to begin again. I will never forget it.

I’m only 19 but MAN am I glad my dad and mom gave me the best music taste in the world instead of strictly rap artists of today. Don’t get me wrong I appreciate some of the newer stuff too, and there are certainly gems I’ve found that are brand new, but there REALLY is a different feeling with certain older music… not that anything is better or worse, but it’s just… unique. In a good way. It’s it’s own. And there will never be music that can live up to this exact feeling, again. Because it’s it’s own piece, from its own time. And that’s beautiful. I love being able to appreciate older music none of my friends listen to whilst also listening out for any seldom listened to artists of today that are being slept on. Trust me they do exist, they just aren’t nearly advertised enough. And hey, music is subjective anyway- at the end of the day we who are we to judge, as human beings who are all different at the end of the day? Don’t yuck anyone’s yum. But personally, I think this music is gorgeous, and I hope everyone else on here who finds Simon and garfunkels music amazing, I hope you have a great day<3

I'm 22 and this is one of my all time favourite songs... So deep and INCREDIBLY well made. Most modern music can't hold a candle to this
  • The final verse of this song, and especially the last line, is just about as beautiful and moving as music gets for me. There are a handful of moments in a handful of songs that can match it.
  • “In the clearing stands a boxer, and a fighter by his trade, and he carries the reminders of every glove that laid him down or cut him, ‘Till he cried out in his anger and his shame “I am leaving, I am leaving!” But the fighter still remains.” I love this song and these lyrics specifically, always will.

An anthem for many whose souls are suffering; the feeling of vindication through song.

Simon & Garfunkel are the most underrated musicians on earth. Their songs were poetry, meaningful, extremely profound, nothing today sounds close to them (especially Paul Simon). I don't get tears in my eyes listening to any of today's pop music.
