  • This song is beautiful and I did this for my husband. I was his bridge forever. He passed away last November 14,2019. After just learning he had pancreatic cancer stage4 on Sept12th 2019. He was so Strong & never once complained. I LOVE HIM AND MISS HIM
  • When you are in emotional pain, music can minister to those broken places! This song is perfect for that!

My friend died a few months back, and this was the first song I listened to. Still can't listen to it without thinking of him. He really was one of those people that just wasnt meant for our troubled world. I hope hes somewhere nice, free of lifes battles.

I'm in the Funeral Industry and my 31 year old daughter is strung out on fentanyl I don't want her in the back of my hearse "" So I dedicated this song to her" It kills me but all I can do is pray, pray and pray some more that I don't loose her to addiction 🙏 "

Lyrics: When you're weary, feeling small When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all, all I'm on your side, oh, when times get rough And friends just can't be found Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down When you're down and out When you're on the street When evening falls so hard I will comfort you I'll take your part, oh, when darkness comes And pain is all around Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down Sail on silver girl Sail on by Your time has come to shine All your dreams are on their way See how they shine Oh, if you need a friend I'm sailing right behind Like a bridge over troubled water I will ease your mind Like a bridge over troubled water I will ease your mind

I think this is the prettiest song in the world. Timeless and an appropriate message for the trouble we are in today.

Garfunkel really was an incredible singer, and this was pretty much a perfect song for his soaring vocals. And such wonderful lyrics, and great arrangement- This piece checks all the boxes.
  • My nana passed away last month from cancer and in her final moments in the hospital, surrounded by family, she asked that they play her favourite song, Bridge Over Troubled Water. I was not present for that but when my mother told me of it I sobbed uncontrollably. I also told my boyfriend and he started crying too. Sometime after, my mother told me that she, my nana, was really like all of our bridge over troubled water. I miss her so much.

Such a moving song. Brings me to tears. Good for the turbulent times it was written in, just as relevant today. Certainly one of the greatest songs of the 20th Century.
  • @556tavor
Heard it on the radio the other day and started crying immediately. Going through a hard time. Lyrics are powerful. Timeless song.
  • I played this song at my father's funeral on November 1, 1991, and too this day in December 2022, I remember every moment that given day, and when I hear this song, it brings my father's spirit back to me.

The impact of this song has been forgotten. At the conclusion of the 13th Annual Grammy Awards held in 1971 , it won Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year. All three. Wow. All Glory Is Fleeting.

One of the greatest songs of all time. I was a kid when this was first released and an old woman now. I still love it and the memories it brings back. Thanks to Paul for writing it and for Arts singing. And of course all the extras who made it happen. Wonderful, just wonderful!

A timeless song. An unforgettable voice. No one sings it like they did.
