When I rewatch The Prince of Egypt, I often have to skip the beginning part because the opening scene with the Egyptians commiting genocide against the Hebrews is too much for me, and even makes me cry. It’s just so well done and strong that I can’t even sit through it. Also, it was a pretty bold move for Dreamworks to put a scene of literal genocide into an animated movie. I bet everyone in the theatre in 1998 was shocked beyond belief.

I still can't believe Schaff still hasn't made that Adam Sandler ranking.

The Dreamworks method of A team and B team movies is honestly pretty ingenious. You have your best team working on the big shot movies that establish the brand name and market but ultimately cost more / are riskier, while your less talented team works on movies that are designed quickly to turn an easy profit for funding the latter series. Occasionally the B team even manages to outperform your A team, as seen with Shrek

Dreamworks is such a bizarre studio... You're telling me the same people who made kung fu panda, how to train your dragon, Megamind and puss in boots the last wish... Are the same people who made shark tale💀
