I have to thank you so much for this. I'm Taiwanese Canadian from Kaoshiung and I haven't been back for almost 20 years. Plan to go back at the end of November and definitely will be using your list as guide!

Totally true, Taiwan is a food paradise, not only street foods, everything is so good, even sticky tofu!!... Scallion pancake from Shida's night market was my favorite!

I'm happy you included "ice cream burrito" (花生卷冰淇淋). It was so strange the first time I saw it after moving to Taiwan; I just had to try it, and it's become my favorite sweet Taiwanese snack. I know you couldn't include everything, but gua bao (刈包) is super tasty and popular with tourists and locals alike.
