The Fallout Show has released and it is WAY better than anyone expected it to be! Who would have thought staying true to the source material could work out so well for a television adaption?? Anyways, here is why I loved the show!

  • I’m so happy that this show is getting the praise it deserves, because so many people in the community were hating on it before it even came out
  • @Sixteen-Angels
Not gonna lie, the main actor who plays Lucy would be an amazing role as Chell from Portal.
  • @remielpollard787
I also love how Lucy's character development is done in such a way that you can almost tell exactly when she levels up.
  • @lugenhauser
Lucy's brother Norm is a very underrated character. His story of finding out the truth of Vault 31 was one of the show's highlights
  • @Echo_4609
The only thing the show is missing is a Ron Perlman intro
  • @ItsNket
"It's not the first time I've been persecuted for my 'scientific curiosities'" is my fave joke of the whole season

I watched it with my mom and dad and explained stuff to them when needed. They loved it so much and I got to show my parents how much of a fallout nerd I was. 10/10 would recommend

the cogsworth scene got me really buzzing with using the actual voice actor and making them an actual person from the past, chefs kiss
  • I thought the scene where Cooper starts tearing up after his wife say “we drop them ourselves” was just phenomenal. He’s such an amazing actor. Great scene, buildup, just chef’s kiss

The only thing they missed was having Dog Meat get in the way. 3 seconds of the ghoul trying to push his way past dog meat in a doorway, giving him a look like "little bastard" when he gets by. Don't even have him say anything, just add that little bit to a scene. It would have been great.
  • First episode, when the ghoul says, “ I do that s*** for the game “
  • Just seeing the clip of Ella Purnell talking about how she played the games to try to learn the source material, how she got really into the games and how important it was to her to respect the source material was what made me want to check out the show. We need more people like her and Henry Cavill.

There was just an interview today where Todd Howard cleared up some of the lore confusion and confirmed that everything in the show including the shady sands destruction happened after New Vegas

My mom, who doesnt play any video games, wanted to watch this show with me and asked me all kinds of questions about the lore and prefaced it by telling me "keep it tame and dont nerd out on me too much, please". And as someone who doesnt play any video games, she thoroughly enjoyed this show and can't wait for season 2.

Funny how bethesda actually puts actual care to stuff they know modders cant patch.

Hearing walton goggins say the famous words "War, war never changes" I almost shit my pants
  • between Arcane, Edgerunners and Fallout specifically, i'm gonna say the common denominator is telling stories in the game's setting has a better batting average than directly adapting the game's plots
  • @gefilte86
Dogmeat. Dogmeat never changes. He lives forever.
