The political/social commentary in RDR2 is so subtle yet so powerful and interesting. Besides the Wapiti reserve quests, I remember riding to a mission with Lenny and he just casually talks about the racism he experiences and it hits you. These guys have not played a single Rockstar game, they are so well written, I honestly wish it was RDR3 and not GTA VI coming out, the latter franchise just tends to have an overly goofy feeling, whereas RDR games feel more balanced and grounded, but with all the fun still there.

The whole entire moral of the GTA story is that the pursuit for crime and short term pleasures like drug abuse, casual sex or material possessions like expensive cars or sex trafficking rings are NOT the secret to living a long happy life. There are brutal, life destroying consequences in the real world and the only way that COULD be plausible is in a fictionalized world of faked entertainment like a video game.

GTA with the radio talk shows with racists, xenophobes, vegans, Republicans, religious zealots and unhinged psychopaths is the ultimate tongue in the cheek of America. The fact it's so exaggerated but at the same time relatable on some level makes it entertaining as hell. The writers know exactly how to write comedy.

Bro, these guys are complaining about "shooting police officers" but imagine when they see the Modern Warfare 2 story or better yet play God of War 3....... Like imagine....

The absolute irony is that their entire podcast would fit in PERFECTLY as a radio station on gta 6 - or at least a parody of that sort of podcast. They had some great talk shows on the radio in 5 so I hope they really go in deep

There is literally a video game genre called "Female Protagonist". I love how suddenly it's woke to have a female lead in a video game. We went from "videos are sexist because you play as a male lead," to "video games are woke because you play as a female lead." And the pendulum forever swings back and forth.
