"What the hell is wrong with Vault-Tec" is a phrase you will find yourself saying ALOT as you read the vault terminals
-
Just wait until Roanoke learns about the Anglers in Far Harbor.
-
Just for the record, the creatures in fallout aren’t mutated because of radiation exclusively, they’ve also all been exposed to low doses of FEV, which is the main culprit for their bizarre nature.
-
As soon as the technician said the water chip was busted, I immediately responded to the TV with "I know a vault that's just chock FULL of pristine water chips. Sucks you guys refuse to leave, though."
-
I truly believe Australia’s creatures would be the only ones that weren’t mutated…..because they’re mutated enough already.

To answer Roa's musing. No man steps into the same river twice. For its not the same river and he is not the same man.
-
The Ghoul has the best perks in the story, cannibalism, bloody mess, steady aim and perception maxed out

You know, I love the design of the gulper in the show. Like, a lot of the times when you have a hybrid creature being haphazardly made they look... too clean? Like, the "parts" always match up somehow. But with this, with the whole "fingers on the inside" it really shows how genetics aren't just plug and play. Just because you add the genes for fingers into something doesn't mean it'll just replace the digits with human fingers... Also, it looks very eldritch horror-y, which I also like.

That specific inhaler was what that kept ghouls from turning feral. Its not a thing ever mentioned in previous lore to the best of my knowledge but I imagine they took some minor liberties.
-
FEV+rads "I have altered the genes, pray I do not alter them more"
-
In the games, there's no serum that slows down the brain degeneration that makes feral ghouls. Some ghouls keep their minds until they're killed while some go feral. It's slightly hinted that social interaction keeps ghouls from going feral(since it uses high brain functions) but no one's ever sat down and studied ghoul neuroscience.

Can't wait for Roanoke to discover the wonders of the Forced Evolution Virus (FEV) and it's consequences in the wasteland. It's very coincidentally funny that he talks about gene editing but doesn't make a single mention of it in the video, seems like something that'd be right up his alley of study lol
-
2:04 It comes up later but those drugs he's inhaling are preventing him from going feral
-
@10:33 the show explained those Gulpers were created in Vault 4, not externally in the wild
-
I wasn't expecting you to cover the Fallout TV show yet. Cool.
-
think of what an angler fish would be like in this world
-
7:55 Boot gone, Gulper is hyper evolved Quentin....gulp, gulp.
-
All of earth became one giant Australia. Wasteland. Everything either actively attempting or highly capable of killing you. Yep, that tracks

Lowkey was confused when Roanoke started talking about the episode and not from the beginning of the series but then I realized how long it would’ve taken to recap all of season 1 for one mutant
