At some point, the heroes are just more examples of why Ladybug has the most uncreative costume.

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir (French: Miraculous, les aventures de Ladybug et Chat Noir; also known as Miraculous Ladybug or Miraculous]) is a French CGI superhero / magical girl television series. The series focuses on two Parisian teenagers, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste, who transform into the superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir, respectively, to protect the city from supervillains. The series is co-produced by French studios Zagtoon and Method Animation in association with Toei Animation in Japan, with the participation of TF1, AB Droits Audiovisuels, The Walt Disney Company France, Gloob, SK Broadband and EBS.

In modern-day Paris, teenagers Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste transform into superheroes when evil arises. Marinette and Adrien transform into their superhero personas, Ladybug and Cat Noir respectively, using magical jeweled objects known as the Miraculous. Not knowing each other's true identities, the two work together to protect Paris from the mysterious villain, Hawk Moth, who covets and attempts to steal their powers by using his akumas, butterflies infused with negative energy, to transform Paris' everyday citizens into supervillains when they go through negative emotions. All the while, the two struggle with their feelings for each other, not knowing each other's secret identities - Marinette is in love with Adrien but not Cat Noir, while Adrien is in love with Ladybug but not Marinette.

Adrien Agreste, better known as Cat Noir, is one of the two titular main protagonists (alongside Ladybug) of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. He is a student at Collège Françoise Dupont and a fashion model. With his magical ring, inhabited by a Kwami named Plagg, he has the power of bad luck and can transform into the superhero Cat Noir (Chat Noir in the French version). In Season 3, he temporarily receives the Ladybug Miraculous from Tikki, which, when inhabited by her, can transform him into Mister Bug, a ladybug-themed superhero, and in "Desperada", he temporarily receives the Snake Miraculous from Ladybug, which, when inhabited by the Kwami Sass, can transform him into Aspik, a snake-themed superhero.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng is the primary protagonist of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. She is a student in Miss Bustier's class at Collège Françoise Dupont in Paris, France, and a budding fashion designer who wants to have her own brand one day. With the Ladybug Miraculous, when inhabited by Tikki, Marinette transforms into the superheroine Ladybug, gaining the power of creation to stop Hawk Moth and his akumatized villains. She is the leader of the French Miraculous superhero team.

Alya Césaire is one of the four deuteragonists (alongside Tikki, Plagg and Nino Lahiffe) of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. She is a former student in Miss Bustier's class at Collège Françoise Dupont, Marinette Dupain-Cheng's best friend, and Nino Lahiffe's girlfriend. She is also the only admin of the Ladyblog and head of the school blog.
In "Sapotis", after her younger twin sisters are akumatized into the titular villain, Alya receives the Fox Miraculous from Ladybug. When the Miraculous is inhabited by Trixx, Alya becomes Rena Rouge, a fox-themed superhero who helps Ladybug and Cat Noir "during particularly difficult missions" in the second season and beyond.

Chloé Bourgeois is the central antagonist of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, serving as the secondary antagonist of Season 1, the anti-heroic tritagonist of Season 2, a major anti-hero-turned-final antagonist of Season 3, and a major antagonist of Seasons 4 and 5. She is a student in Miss Bustier's class at Collège Françoise Dupont.
She is a rival of Marinette Dupain-Cheng (and Ladybug). She is also the daughter of André and Audrey Bourgeois and the older half-sister of Zoé Lee.
In "Style Queen", after Ladybug loses the Bee Miraculous that she wanted to entrust Alya Césaire with, Chloé finds it. When the Miraculous was inhabited by Pollen, she became Queen Bee, a bee-themed antihero who helped Ladybug and Cat Noir "during particularly difficult missions" in Seasons 2 and 3.

If the endgame of this show is just Marinette using every Miraculous herself because she's the only one in history who could possibly do it, how surprised would you be? I'm gonna be honest. The Rooster and Goat feel like the creator's ran out of powers to give the Miraculous. And the Ox's power feels like one that should have come up much earlier.

Once more: we only needed the main 7 miraculous, NOT 19. And give all the heroes and kwamis development!
  • @chargestone96
The fact its all her classmates is so wild, hawkmoth knew some of them and never made the connection?
  • @foxial5358
The show should have been just about Marinette and Adrien being the only heroes around, and then showing how they learn to use and control the powers of the other miraculouses together. It would have kept the focus on the main duo, and made their ability to use miraculouses feel special and unique. These other "heroes" are there just to sell toys.

Chat Noir needs a power up, he already has night vision but he needs the ability to sense danger.

this is why i stand by the fact that fu should’ve trained them both and they both should’ve been guardians of half the miraculous each preventing any thing like the season four finale. That keeps it equal with cat noir and ladybug being the two most powerful in every way not ladybug first cat noir second sometimes and everyone relatively equal.

the team should have stayed as adrien and marinette as the main two alya chloe and nino as 3 additional heroes just to help them and maybe kagami and luka tagging in every once and a while no more than that and felix should have stayed an anti villain that could occasionally work with which ever side benefits him the most at the moment but never full on joining them

We have 18 heroes that is just way too many Omg what were the writers thinking

I will forever be mad about what happened to Chloe. Zoe isnt even a good character. The moment she arrived EVERYONE was blowing sunshine up her butt for just EXISTING, she has no distinguishing personality traits. The only character specific thing she has is she is from NY and draws on her sneakers. Shes a nothing replacement with a worse bee design to Chloe. Shes just worse Chloe in almost every important regard. She isnt interesting, she doesnt add anything naratively, she isnt tied at all to anything inportant in the narrative, she has not interesting dynamics or interactions with other characters, she has no interesting place her character can go, etc etc. She just sucks. But shes a cute girl who everyone likes and is noce so I guess that makes her a "good character"🙄

Good essay, and sadly on the mark. Juleka/Purple Tigress is easily my favorite of the tertiary heroes, and seems to have garnered the most popularity among fans, but even she was quickly relegated to a background character & barely used after her initial appearance.

I honestly feel the most sorry to the Bee Miraculum. One of main 7 miraculouses and one of first to be given out to a side character. Not only it got pushed to the far back and never let to shine again but the current holder is not even a goddamn bee she calls herself a "wasp" an entirely different bug probably because Zoe has no qualities of a bee let alone a queen of bees but just like wasp prays on work of others in this case Chloe's character arc and popularity. Chloe was perfect character to explore it, she had qualities of a leader and strong personality to pull it off, literal queen bee of her school not afraid to bite that's why Zag set her up as Bee Miraculum holder - it made thematic sense. Bees can be sweet and helpful but are easy to annoy into biting just like Chloe was meant to be after redemption arc but nah Astruc had too big of a hate boner towards this poor fictional kid and take down bee miraculum with her so now we will never see it in spotlight again. Not to even talk about Queen Bee's gorgeous design being wasted...

Tbh the only miraculous I find necessary are: 1. Ladybug 2. Black Cat 3. Moth 4. Fox 5. Bee 6. Peacock 7. Turtle 8. Snake 9. Dragon
  • @Pinkcherry567
To be honest the other miraculous were basically useless and most of the Time not needed the main seven miraculous tho are really useful during the missions .
  • @AnnaBeatriz-jd8ew
If they wanted a team of heroes they could have fleshed out the characters' personalities and motivations instead of making a stupid love square 🤪
  • @etherwestley2579
I hope that in the next season they will send the other heroes to other regions of France (or country), so that a team with more members than Avengers will not beat the crap out of Lila when she moves a little bit
  • @serenatsukino5252
I don't get how Sabrina got one. For most of the series she was just Chloe's slave. If anything, she would be the last person I would give the miraculous to permanently.

Them having alot of heroes is not an issue. It's how they execute it is the problem. Just look at sailor moon, Shugo Chara, and freaking Pretty cure. (Do you see how many pretty cure heroes there are?!) How they should have fix this is easy. Have a main set team. For me it's Mari, Adrien, Alya, Nino, and... YES Chloe. Adult Alex is occasional. These characters are the main team always used for most of the story. Due to their closeness to the main duo. And to fix the others. Just have a set of them be the focus characters in- NOT a few episodes, but an ENTIRE ARC/season. (Best example here is obviously Sailor Moon. With the show giving arcs to a team of new heores) Then for other occasions, the main team merges two miraculous. To help confuse Hawkmoth from their identities. Or switching miraculous around JUST the main team, again, since they are close friends. (Completely removing, the food power up thing that even the show forgot about) And yes... If it wasn't that obvious. AT LEAST fornthe main team. They know each other's identities. Like MOST magical teams.

tbh ı hate how marinettes only understanding of a worthy person is "someone from her class" because she knows almost everyone in paris, ignoring the fact that many of the characters were designed to fit the miraculous theyd have ı think the bull miraculous would make more sense in marinettes dad who marinette would feel embodies the power of resistance or her mom who would be more reasonable target for the snake and or the dragon miraculous from marinettes POV she is always calm collected and embodies the philosophy of harmony and balance dragon miraculous requires a lot better than kagami(who was, again. designed for the miraculous)

i am SO SURE that season 6 will have a "Cat Blanc 2" about how Marinette shouldn't reveal her identity to chat, OR reveal to adrien that he's father was a monster, or that he's a sentimonster, or anything at all She will try to do that and Bunnix will come from the future (for some reason, time travel doesn't work like that) and say that IF SHE DOES THAT it will cause the apocalypse
