They told me I had this , turned out I tested positive for HLA-B27 and had ankylosing spondylitis. This was overlooked by many many many doctors, and as a chronic illness suffer for years. I never gave up on finding the true answer. I always knew something was being missed so I asked myself for this specific gene test after doing my own research. One Dr finally agreed to test for this specific gene that I requested and I finally got the answers. Please people please don’t settle for fibromyalgia alone. There are a lot of auto immune diseases that can mimic fibromyalgia and many doctors miss those!

Male sufferer here. Diagnosed 2 years ago now age 39, took me 4 years of seeing a doctor to finally get to a rheumatologist and finally be diagnosed. All these symptoms are absolutely bang on. Currently going through a flare up, makes life so difficult at work, yet I battle through. I’ve found sertraline has helped allot, I recommend trying it if you haven’t. Fibromyalgia is a curse, there are times it’s so bad I’ve genuinely looked forward to dying. Wish all other sufferers the best. I have had much better times with a great diet and lack of stress.
  • At 76° and below my skin feels burned plus all the other pain everywhere. I came down with this overnight at the age of 30. I'm 72 now. God helped me through this raising five children alone with little or no child support and going back to college to get a degree. One foot doesn't lift as easily as the other now and I fell breaking a foot and ankle. I only took over the counter Tylenol for pain for this being so used to excruciating pain. May the Lord bring cures for this horrible illness.

Ive have fibromyalgis for over 45+ years. good days and there are very bad days. Ive dealt with pain so long, thats its just a part of me. Its realy good to have people on youre side, knowing you dont make fake youre pain. each day has its battles.
  • I wish I could find a doctor who takes fibromyalgia seriously. I am so tired of being tired and in pain.

Omg, this is the BEST explanation of fibromyalgia that I've seen so far!! It almost made me cry, because I feel so validated now! I was diagnosed years ago, and you hit the nail on the head with all the symptoms! Thank you for this! ❤

I’m 20 and I’ve been having these symptoms a little over a year and I honestly don’t know what else it could be. It helps knowing that there’s a name for it and a community, but it’s hard to feel taken seriously by doctors, friends and family, and even myself sometimes.
  • I was diagnosed in 2003 and was immediately put on a regimen of strong painkillers which didnt help much. As I progressed through the stages of acceptance and management of the condition,I learned that if I was stressed I flared up. The process of eliminating my stress reactions started with daily meditations. I learned Reiki so that i could treat myself, walked EVERYDAY so that i got the good endorphins in my system and weaned off the pain pills. I haven't taken any for 15 or more years. I take turmeric daily. It's a natural anti inflammatory, ride a push bike and slowly lost 30 kilos. This regimen works for me. Exercise really helps with the pain. Start slow and work up. Thermal underwear works really well in the winter as well.😁

i’ve been struggling for three years with these symptoms and all my tests were coming back clear, got diagnosed with it just this week and i still don’t understand it so i’m trying to learn more about it. My biggest thing is the lack of concentration and my bladder issues but on flare up days my joints and back get so bad. I’m glad to have this diagnosis and i hope it doesn’t get in the way of my studies anymore cos i’m about to go into my final year of uni :) hope everyone who visits this video is happy and well ❤

I am watching as I am debating what hurts more.... the shirt on my back or the fact that I need to shower and having the water hit my body. Never ending

My fibromyalgia has gotten soooooooo much better since I started working from home. My flares have lessened a considerable amount.

This is me 😢 I cannot stand for too long. This has affected my life in many ways.
  • 40 yrs of this is TOO much......took 15 yrs to diagnose it!! and as I'm "aging"...tolerating less and less

2 years with these symptoms that feel insane. I don’t feel normal and I’m always depressed because every doctor says I seem fine. So hopefully I finally found something it could be .
  • @valerief911
Thank you! All symptoms are mine except discoloration in hands. My Doctor told me I had it, but I passed it off and went into denial.
  • @Psoewish
My mom recently suggested that there's a possibility that this may be the cause of my problems, and I'd never heard of it so decided to look into it. This video pretty much hits all of my symptoms. Only 2 of the associated conditions don't apply but the rest is just spot on. Guess I better go make an appointment with my doctor.
  • @LALBLL
Wow! I have almost all of these symptoms. I just got diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 2 weeks ago. I’ve been suffering for years. This video is the most clear and concise explanation — thank you!
