One Hour Birth (my husband caught the baby!)

Published 2017-02-28
On Monday the 23rd of January, my waters broke at 7.10pm. I had been having mild contractions, on and off, for two weeks. We knew from cervical checks that I was heavily dilated, so we called my midwife immediately, and she headed our way.

But within 15 minutes, it was obvious that I was already in my pushing phase. My husband set up a stationary camera, and this is the footage I'm sharing with you today.

I thought the footage was so sweet, and I hope you enjoy it. My husband and I will create a documentary-style birth story video soon - we're excited to tell our story and talk through what the experience was like :)

Make sure you subscribe to get notified when that video comes out!

Enjoy x

That was incredible, Lizzie! Your daughter was so sweet. It always amazes me how a birthing woman can be in such pain and when it's over, it seems like there was no pain at all. When you yelled out, "ring of fire" I was squeezing my legs together. lol! Thanks for sharing. Congratulations!
  • I got so excited when I saw this thumbnail pop up! Haven't even gotten past the 5 min mark yet :P
