Great time-lapse. Just so those who don't know understand, the actual trip, including requisite stops, is pretty much an all-day affair. But worth it! Some of the most spectacular views my wife and I have ever seen.

We just drove the Road to Hana and it was incredible!! So beautiful. Take a day and enjoy all the stops!

Just drove today on this road and I can say is the best experience, considering all the rain we had today is a great driving test to your abilities

Do not miss this trip! It is amazing. Every time you go around a curve the beauty is incredible. Drive the whole loop. You will not be disappointed.

I have made that drive a couple of times, had to stop half way through watching this I was getting car sick LOL Great video going there in January.

It takes aprox 2-3 hours if you don't stop. It is recommended to take full day and stop in waterfalls, lookouts, etc.

thanks for posting. I went to Lahaina with four of my family.... no Hana, though. EVERYONE must see the islands at least once in my opinion, it's a place of great healing.

That place is incredible. Eaten there five times and I still consider it one of the best seafood places I've ever been in any country.

Warning......I went on this road...start early in the morning and take lots of stops because we all got car sick from the constant turning back and forth. It is a beautiful drive tho. The waterfalls and all. We stopped at a garden area and walked thru....breathtaking with the ocean in the background. Took us hours to get thru, long trip, beware. Once you get on it, you have to keep going.

I drove it myself, but all in daylight. That was bad enough. Once is enough.

We drove to Hana twice. The waterfalls are amazing. When you get to Hana, park at the school and follow the hidden path down to the red sand beach. It's worth every minute of it. On one side of the volcano there are at least 70 switchbacks to maneuver which are no joke. They closed the road due to a wildfire so we had to turn around and go back the way we came ..which would've been fine if it wasn't pitch dark, raining and on a 1 lane cliff without guardrails for 50 miles!!! Lol. Enjoy it. It's a must see.

I remember the Road to Hana. Once back in 2008 and once in 2000. The one in 2008 we had to go the longer way because the common road was under construction. So beautiful, but my dad was driving white-knuckled the whole time.
