We start our journey driving down to Southampton where we stay at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Southampton Grand Harbour Hotel for the night, we stay in a king bed room and give you a room tour.

The next day its our embarkation day! We make our way down to the hotels restaurant for where they host a breakfast buffet, its a little early to board the ship yet as our port arrival time isn't until 12 so we take a look around Southampton and the shopping centre, we try to spot the Disney Dream from the multi story car park also.

It's now our port arrival time so we make our way to the port, we use parking with AB parking which is located right outside of the cruise terminal.

We check in and board the ship, welcomed by the famous Disney Cruise line welcome where they announce each family on board in to the beautiful atrium.

We make our way to the room on the ship, we have a family verandah room, this is where we give you a detailed room tour. The room we had was a really good size, it can sleep 5 and has a queen sized bed, bunk bed, sofa sleeper and pull down bed. Our room had a round shower and split bathroom. Disney Cruise Line is famous for having a split bathroom lay out which means the toilet and sink is in one room and you also have a shower/bath combo and sink in another room.

It's now time for the sail away party! We head to deck 11 to join everyone as we celebrate setting sail and starting the holiday. They host a party featuring Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto Chip and Dale. This is where they sound the Mickey horn also! We then wave everyone off who is waiting at the port in Southampton.

We head to cove café which is a coffee bar in the adults only section on the ship to grab a coffee before heading down to deck 4 which is my favourite place to relax and watch the water go by. They have comfy loungers and it was the perfect golden hour sunset to enjoy a coffee.

Its now dinner time so we head to our allocated restaurant for the first night of the sailing which is Enchanted Garden. With Disney Cruise Line you have rotational dining where you are allocated a different restaurant each night, your servers follow you around as you move restaurants which is a really nice touch as you get to know them on your sailings and they also get to know what drinks you like etc.

Before we head back to the room we check out the merchandise which is available on board from the shops.

We then head back to the room as its been a long day this is where we end the vlog, we hope you have enjoyed our embarkation day!

In the next video its our first port of call, Stavanger. Here we take an exciting ride on a speed boat down the Fjords and explore Stavanger.

This was our first time sailing with Disney Cruise Line out of Southampton and was the first sailing of the season out of the U.K.

  • When you were at the back of West Quay by the Premier Inn, just in-front of the multi-storey Car Park was Carnival UK, which is the main head office for P&O Cruises, Cunard Line, Princess Cruises and Holland America Line.

We went on a Norway cruise in July, not Disney though. It was on the Queen Mary 2. I had a new passenger fleece, and it kept me so warm sitting out on the deck. We've got our first Disney holiday in 38 days, so we're binge-watching all your fantastic vlogs. Thank you for sharing your holidays with us. 😊
