I was never particularly interested in politics beforeTrump ran. I had this idea that 'it is what it is' and I couldn't possibly contribute to it. I'm 62, white/divorced/midwest gal and I'm ashamed to say that I never even voted before, until President Obama ran. I did then, and have every election since then. I watched in total dismay as trump took office and remained dismayed, as well as shocked and ashamed as he ripped down our democracy. I was thrilled when Joe Biden came into the race, I read his book "Promise me Dad" and I just waited for the day he took office. At my age I've seen history made. Bad (trump term) and good. I am so lucky to have seen this good, decent, patriotic to his core Man be our president and I feel lucky to have witnessed his 'passing the torch'. Not because I wanted him to go, but because of what it has meant to our nation. VP Harris is gonna win this contest and make history yet again, but finally, finally put an end to this maga-insane man on the other side. Thank you President Biden. You're the best.
