THE MOST UNDERRATED BATMAN SHOW

There have been a lot more Batman shows than most people acknowledge. Most are obviously overshadowed by the legendary " Batman The Animated Series " and " The New Batman Adventures " .
And while no show has been able to duplicate that show's success---
" The Batman " has to be the closest attempt.
The show gave us new interpretations of classic characters --- from beloved characters like The Joker and Harley Quinn to lesser known characters like Cluemaster and Killer Moth.

The Series is widely overlooked and it's unfortunate.
The show has some incredible talents working on it from behind the scenes from the animators of Jackie Chan Adventures to the extended and iconic voice cast.

Honestly The Batman's version of the Joker is for some reason one of the only versions of Joker that to me can believably go toe to toe with Batman physically. Mainly because he's acrobatic, able to use his smaller size as an advantage, and always has some sort of trick up his sleeve. I also really liked his alternate outfit.

I like how in this series Batman doesn’t really have a deep voice it’s just Smooth Rino Romano did a great job voicing him
  • The best part of this show was when Barbara discovered Bruce was Batman by covering up his face and just looking at his jaw.
  • @RetconCrisis
This show had easily my favorite iteration of Clayface. I also really like how they switched things up with the Joker

The Batman was a Good Series that wasn't afraid to drastically shake up the mythos.

Bruh this and Teen Titans was the go to on them late nights on Boomerang
  • I'm surprised you made no mention of the soundtrack. That guitar riff is so iconic for this show.

Out of all the characters, this series' version of Alfred is actually the one that pops into my mind when I think of the character. Really, I hear Alfred and immediately I get a flash of him from this show in my head.

I honestly loved the dynamic between Batgirl and Robin in this show. Instead of lovers it was a more Big sister/ Little brother relationship

Kevin Michael Richardson’s version of Joker is easily one of my favorites. His design is so original-looking, and his vocal range is out of this world, going from high and whimsically crazy, to deep and intimidating.
  • Dude, this version of joker is my favourite. Possibly BECAUSE of how different he is. He feels like an entirely different villain from the beloved, wonderful Mark Hamil. The crazy acrobatics, nutty hair and wacky costumes he dons throughout the show are all so vibrant.

The introduction for Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon into the series was well written, as were their characters throughout the rest of the series. The Batman made their characters mean just as much as Batman himself, which is why I think the series as a whole was successful. The villains were also great in their own right as well. All in all, I loved this Batman series and I’m glad others are realizing it as well.

Honestly, this was the most humanized Bruce Wayne. I genuinely thought he was a seperate personality from his batman persona
  • I’ll never forget when the Joker thought he was Batman, and was racing through Gotham in his hilarious Batsuit, then when he showed up to take down Penguin he and Batman started fighting, then it became a triple threat match 🤣😂

Very underrated show. And you were spot on about this version of Bruce. This version was worth rooting for! Yes the series had it’s darker moments but how refreshing to see a Batman that wasn’t constantly grim, pretentious, op, and living for nothing outside of fighting crime. He even smiled once in a while. I thought it was a perfect balance and made the character more interesting than he’s been in a long while. Thank you for a great review of The Batman.

I actually just rewatched this literally 3 weeks ago, and I absolutely love this series. Kevin Michael Richardson’s Joker is so vastly under appreciated. He did a phenomenal job. Also, I completely agree about Ethan being so comparable to Harvey. You hit the nail on the head.

This Batman series was like the spectacular Spider-Man of Batman universe in terms of animation
  • @Actionfan19
This shows version of Killer Croc is still my favorite. I love that they kept his origin ambiguous. Genetic experiment, voodoo, born that way, we don't know and I love it.
  • This was my childhood show of Batman. It really holds up even to this day. I will watch it any time if I want to watch any Batman. It's very underrated. PLUS the opening is good too
  • I loved this version of the Joker. His look was so fresh i just right away fell in love with it. The dreadlocks and straight Jacket was awesome. My favorite Joker and Batman to draw. I enjoyed it all the way to the end. Also i always thought the Clue Master looked a lot like Oogie Boogey Man from the Nightmare Before Christmas.
