THE BATMAN is a show that ran for 5 seasons from 2004-2007, and it was definitely a great show that honors the legacy of the Batman. Check out why it's great!

Fun fact, this show was nominated for 12 Emmy awards and won 6 throughout its run.

Does anyone remember the web game for this show, “cobblepot caper”? It was something that I just loved as a child.

This show was the reason I got into Batman, that and Batman Beyond. It's sad that it doesn't get talked about much. I find this take on the Batman as the most unique, especially with how the villains are executed.

I actually think the animation they did for Bruce in The Batman made Pattinson an excellent choice: their shared extremely square face shapes and exploding jaw lines are absolutely uncanny

Fun fact: the episode where joker pretends to be Batman and tries to make batman into his joker was the inspiration for The Batman Who Laughs comics

This Batman is actually not such a downer. He's brooding when he needs to be, but he can actually crack a smile every now and then

One thing I really like about this show is how they did Batgirl and Robin. Because of the massive age difference between the two (DIck was still in middle school while Barbara was starting college) their story couldn't really work out the way it usually does. They actually completely change the dynamic with Barbara acting much more like an older sister and secondary mentor to Dick, and it ends up working out really well and is still one of the most unique takes on their relationship that I've seen

These are legitimately some of my favorite Batman character designs across all forms of media. This show deserves more praise for sure
  • I've always thought this show did a lot of justice for his side kicks than any other shows before. I love this show's incarnation of Bat Girl and Robin.

This show's version of Batman is probably the most likeable version of Batman on-screen.

This show was awesome. Displaying a younger, more idealistic Batman was a very fresh take on the character, ntm displaying a more rounded out skill set. The music and sound effects were awesome too
  • Honestly the worst thing about Seasons 3-5 is that they completely wrote Yin out of the show. Like I don't even think they give her a reason to be gone. She's just gone. At least they gave Ethan proper closure, but man, Yin was probably my favorite character and she just disappeared.

Fun Fact: the Batman takes place in the same universe as Teen Titans, although the art style looks different it was proven in the Batman spinoff comic
  • @hazelcrisp
I know it's impractical but I loved how long Batman's cape was in the series. There was something just so cool about it.
  • I’m so glad to see people talking about this show, it made me fall in love with Batman’s stories. I love the art style, the tone of the show, everything is just amazing. I feel like the movie was just the show’s best elements concentrated into a film and I love it. And let’s not forget about the time Hugo Strange (spoilers) almost tricked Batman into killing all of Gotham and possibly ending the world. Also was the intro a nod to the Spectacular Spiderman? God I loved that show
  • @caiguycrafter
The intro with Spectacular Spidey is hilarious because I always think of The Batman and Spectacular Spider-Man as being the similar Marvel and DC counterparts. I grew up watching both as a kid, and love both to death. Id argue it was in some ways, if not a little bit better than TAS. Loved TAS, but in today's era, The Batman holds up better. Its one of my favorite cartoons period
  • @Kinsey_
So underrated. This was the first. Batman show I’ve ever seen
  • This is easily the most innovative design of Joker to date. Giving him a deeper, gruff voice, athleticism, and his posture, he really stands out among the many versions of the character
  • @NevanSlone
“Name the true identify of, The Batman” I loved how he outsmarted Cluemaster
