who loves johnny in 2024

This is what you call LIVE. No pretending to sing.

The star of the show here is Luther Perkins once again! His style was so simple, that's been heavily copied, and yet nobody can even get close to sound and feel that Luther had. He 'was' the sound of Johnny Cash.

I want to personally thank whomever posted this video to YouTube. You really made my day
-
Thank you for sharing this. Thought id seen it all. Cash was on fire in 68

This is simply fantastic. The quality of this recording is stunning. There aren't many recordings with Luther Perkins, and certainly not with such good picture and sound quality. Johnny sounds great and I've never heard of this concert before. These three videos you released from this show are truly a rare treasure for Johnny Cash fans. Please share as much of your archives with the public as possible.

Simply unbelievable, a true artist, a true man of God, and a true legend !!

Fantastic. As others have mentioned, there's so few videos of Luther, but to see him play FPB in clear color is just amazing.
-
That stoic Luther Perkins makes funny faces 😅

Most beautiful 68 footage ive seen of him to date. Its propably the only footage that comes close to a televised 68 folsom concert. Also very nice to see luther so clearly and the sound is amazing.

Big John Cash. You're the Man Johnny!

A couple of months later Luther died when he fell asleep while smoking a cigarette. August 1968.

Luther often looked like he was just there as a favor to Johnny.
