  • @Sacred_Silence
He even lost power during the interview. That says it all
  • This is why public services should never be put in the hands of private business
  • @frankho1147
Everyone should sue CenterPoint, still 9 days no power and they cannot tell when the power will be back

Proposition 7 was passed by voters last election. We are now giving more money and this is still the service we get? Undo Prop 7 and give the voters their refund!

Blame the governor, who appoints the Public Utility Commission, which does very little to regulate the utility companies in Texas.

Good for these restaurants. I hope they sue the pants off CP energy. This company was not prepared for the hurricane and they knew in advance it was heading for a direct hit on Houston

Amen...and the citizens feel the same way!

He will learn the hard way that he cannot sue Center Point. His lawyer should have told him that he is flushing his money down the toilet. Remember the lawsuits from the 2021 freeze. He does not stand a chance

Itā€™s been 9 days without power this is getting ridiculous

Sorry but this is hurricane area. Anyone over the age of 30 should know that any major storm, where powerlines may come down, knows a week or more without power is a definite probability. Sure this is 2024 and infrastructure should be way better but it isnt. In Hurricane Harvey I was out of power for at least 10 days. Previous hurricanes have seen a week and such. I dont have a generator but Ive accommodated in other areas to ensure my family is ok without electricity. Maybe we as a species have become too soft in dealing with issues that arise. Then again I dont own a restaurant.

I don't blame them. I know a few business owners struggling to get back up. A week without profit is fatal for a small business. They can't afford that. I'm sure it's also been devastating for everyday people who depend on these businesses for their income.
  • Power outages were caused by Beryl and if you are a prepared business owner, you should have a backup generator.
  • @rayhill5767
Wow. Think of all the money they would have made if they had had a generator or maybe been a bit prepared for a hurricane.
  • @steviejo2161
LOL Im pissed off with Centerpoint too still no power 8days now. But I do hope they know Centerpoint has Sovereign Immunity and can't be effectively sued.
