My mother, who is a great woman, taught me absolutely nothing about homemaking while I was growing up. I started playing catch up once I got married and I'm really trying to get it together now that I have kids. I learn everything from you! Thank you for all you do. I'm trying a sourdough starter today and just got my first batch of cabbage fermenting the other day.
  • Is it weird of me to say I've cried thinking about what it would be like to have a friend like Lisa? I'm a stay at home mother of 3 kids. My best friend is my mom but otherwise I don't have any friends. I just keep to myself and tend to our home and my family. I've been so inspired by this content that in the last 6 months, I've completely done a 180° from who I was before. Just last night, I made the foccocia recipe from the blog, (farmhouse on boone, of course) and turned it into a deep dish pizza. The thought came 4 hours before the pizza was done and it was phenomenal. Everything I know about sourdough was learned through Lisa's content and blog. My love and appreciation for my little humble home, and caring for it, and just taking care of things even if I'm not in love with specific things, all this mindset came from Lisa. I'm pretty content living my life, but I sometimes truly wish I had a friend like Lisa. I look forward to these videos every week. It's a shame that there aren't people like you living on every corner. You really are an amazing inspiration and an amazing human. Thank you ❤
  • Wow! I feel like I just drank from a fire hydrant! There is so much information, I feel like I need to listen to it again at a much slower speed just to comprehend all of it lol😂. You are so good at keeping the kitchen going and constantly cooking for your family. You are an amazing inspiration to me!

I think something most people don’t understand about your cooking flow and constant work ethic in your home and kitchen is you need to be home to run a home like this. You addressed it once in a video and it made so much sense. You need to be homeschooling, a home based family, not a ton of activities or driving to and from everywhere to serve your family like this 3x a day

WHEW!!! WOW! I am exhausted! You have your plan down-pat! You are amazing. It is like you are running a restaurant!
  • Um the flow of my kitchen goes absolutely nothing like this. Haha!! You’re one in a million, Lisa. SO much work. And so worth it for your family. ❤
  • The #1 thing here - this woman is AVAILABLE to her household. They are her top priority!! If we prioritize the things of this world over our household we simply can't receive the blessings of this life ❤

I also cook this way and I love it. Mondays are a lighter homeschool day so I can get our household on track after busy weekends. I defrost a ton of meat, prep my veggies from the farmer's market or garden, soak grains for the week and start some sourdough. It doesn't take much time and helps me know what I have. This time of year, I'm grilling more and cooking outside.
  • I live alone, so needless to say my flow is not like Lisa’s. But I still enjoy watching her videos and I learn something each time that can benefit either my mindset or meal ideas, or home keeping. Because even as a household of one, I still have a home to organize and run. I also make 90% of my meals, and I love to bake for friends and extended family 😊

Love watching you work in the kitchen. Felt like you were talking so fast! It was hard to keep up. I think enjoy the slower paced ones.

I am so grateful for this visual of a weekly menu! 🙏🏽 I love cooking for my fam, but I lack organizational “big picture” skills, so I tend to feel burned out and discouraged after cooking each dinner. Seeing the flow of all components through the week is so helpful! My main takeaway is to gather ALL protein for the week and never have to panic with a last min thawing. The bulk of the work is Monday, and the rest of the week should take little thought to put together! 👏🏽
  • Keep in mind there is so much that goes on behind the scenes. Dishes washed, help and thoughtful homemaking and lots of years of experience. Good job 👏
  • I think its important to mention for young mams out there who feel like they should be able to all this. This lady has her husband and a couple of older children that can take care of the younger children. All mams are superwoman.

I’m so glad you shared this. We are also a very large family (11), and also cook from scratch for all meals. And have done so for many years now. I’ve never meal planned. I tried a few times over the years and it was just not conducive to our lifestyle. Creating a flow in the kitchen has always just been what works best for us. My kitchen days are very similar to yours. I loved watching this! ❤

I know that you do this every week and I just applaud you. I'm so astounded with the work ethic and go get em attitude that you and your sisters have. I just wish that I had some of this... I mean I do but it's the amount of work that you do and it looks to be so seamlessly efficient ....just blows me away. I was not taught all of these things-- 80's latch key kid with a single mom- but she had to work and she did her very best. I honestly think that you are just so intelligent and I appreciate your model for all of us. You ROCK ❤
  • @momoffour2072
Although you're not meal planning per se, you're always thinking ahead. I think that's why things flow well.
  • @lormor460
Omgosh 😮. Your videos never cease to amaze me! I wish I was more like you. I’ve always had to follow recipes when cooking and I never enjoyed it . And now, in my retirement with my husband, he does 99% of the cooking. My poor grandchildren get cold sandwiches for lunch when I watch them. I hope your kids know what an amazing mom they have!❤
  • @staciegreen9950
I followed your beginners sourdough bread, with my starter, also your recipe and it turned our beautifully. I'm so proud 🎉❤
  • You are truly inspiring Lisa. I literally got tired just watching you sprint in the kitchen 😂 😅 also your daughters helping out was very adorable as well ❤ just awesome
  • @mc5366
Lisa I absolutely LOVE watching you prepare food. You're amazing!
