  • That baby wearing is terrific…….this is how our ancestor moms got things done while bonding with their little ones 😍

We're middle eastern. We eat a lot of eggplant. As dip, roasted as a side, in a tomoato stew with onions and chickpeas. Grilled etc. We also pickle it in olive oil filled with walnuts, garlic and peppers..

I miss the good ol'days, when my grannies and mom make homemade meals, sewed, made preserves, planted gardens, etc. Most of these young folks do not have a clue how to survive. My Mom also taught me these things as well, even how to spend and save money.

Wow, girl. I just discovered your channel yesterday and have been binge watching and I am in awe of you. What a lucky family you have.

A little tip when making eggplant - - bake it. I dip in egg and seasoned crumbs and then place the slices on an oil drizzled baking sheet. Drizzle more oil on top of each slice. I also sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese on them. Bake in a hot oven 400 F about 10 minutes then turn and bake until done (about 10 more minutes). So easy and uses way less oil! Enjoy!

The best way my Grandma taught me to take the bitterness out of eggplant is take a sliced eggplant and soak it in salt water for 15 minutes. Then dry on a hand towel for another 15 minutes. After that they are perfect for all of your delicious recipes.❤

I would love to see what you actually have to buy from a regular grocery store since you get so much from your garden and preserving foods and meat from your sister.
  • @kimchapman2210
It's such a blessing to be able to come into your kitchen and watch you cook and see your sweet little ones!❤

Lisa, no need to let it sweat. I am Italian and we just dip in egg then bread crumbs and I fry in Avocado oil till cooked. Put into 13 x 9 put gravy first, then fried eggplant and then motzarella. Just continue to layer then bake. It is amazing.

Your little guy munching on and saying “PIZZA!” is a whole sweet mood 😍 thank you for another wonderful video!
  • @stephsteph5755
Your little one yelling :Pizza" was the cutest thing ever !!
  • @TSITTEL13
I little tip for your cutting board!! I have a wobbling cutting board myself, and I learned from Rachel Ray that you can lay out a damp wash rag under the cutting board to stabilize it so it doesn’t move while cutting. It was a game changer for me!!!
  • @yuliyaluques3409
Grilled eggplant, almost burnt skin, add olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, pure some tahini paste (with lemon and water up until it is white). With the sourdough bread - amazing.
  • I’m a 37 year old mama with a 16 month old daughter, a wonderful husband, and a baby on the way come January! What is the application process like to be adopted into your family? Could you take all 4 of us?😂(oh and our cat, dog, and chickens too)❤
  • @j.chayo45
I live in Sacramento, California. I would love to live a lifestyle like yours❤ I get fresh vegetables from a farm, and when I cook, I pretend I live on a homestead because my house was built in 1825.😂
  • @tgbarnett1
You amaze me! I feel so unaccomplished after watching how easily you pull a meal together for your family, and without running to the grocery store. Well done!
  • @lindaweikert8311
Love listening/watching - we had 8 children homeschooled - now all have flown the nest - but I still love doing this all !
  • @naughtynana5552
I love watching you. May I offer a suggestion. I make stuffed pepper casserole. I chop up the pepper, do everything else, then put it in a casserole dish. It also freezes VERY well. You can keep it for about a year, maybe more.
  • @annadooz
We absolutely love eggplants in our house! We plant them in our garden every year. I make an eggplant stew which is just onions, chopped eggplant (bite size pieces) chopped potatoes, belle peppers, tomato’s, kind of let it all mush cook together lol and then add in some sage, basil and parsley and it’s delicious!
  • @kcotjo
Okay I am exhausted just watching you prepare SO many meals! You are an amazing cook! All while carrying your sweet newborn Victor! I don't know where you get your energy but you are awesome!! Seeing Theo (I think he's the little one we saw) was so cute....his saying "Pizza" and following you into the garden area. You are such an inspiration for me as I really hate to cook. I believe it is a gift and for some reason God passed over me in that department! Thank you for sharing your meals and family!!
