Let those of us who have the privilege of living an “ordinary” life, especially when we consider that there are millions of people who have tumultuous, tragic and insecure lives , NEVER take it for granted. I’m so grateful!!

This is so beautiful. I watched his birth story. Little did I know I was pregnant then. Now I am looking at my son who is four months old. Wow how God is Good. A simple life is such a a gift from God! I always thought I needed to live a life that was above and beyond. But I have found the most happiness and joy in a simple life with my four beautiful boys and husband.

I'm new to finding the channel, but I've gotta say how much your videos really encourage me to transform my shabby apartment into a comforting and welcoming home. Despite being quite young, I'm unable to work due to a variety of disabilities, and I'm currently relying a lot on my partner and family to support me financially. I'm in the long process of fighting for disability insuance right now and I hope that can shake out soon. I've felt very powerless for most of my life, but recently I've decided to stop waiting for my life to happen and to really lean into everything I actually have control over. And most of that is what I can do with my time, body, and home! Your videos make me believe that I can tame the chaos I'm living in and create a space that gives me energy instead of overwhelming stress. Thank you for sharing a little window into your life and being such a great example for what homemaking can look like :)

That grimy kid bath is the best! My kids get filthy when they are having fun. I’m so glad I’m not the only one who knows that’s the best way to end a great day.

I have lived in Spain for over 20 years and the sheer joy of what is called 'sobremesa' is something to be savoured. Food should be enjoyed, relished, savoured, and part of a family / friends get together.

Have to admit, summertime is my absolute favourite time of the year! Mind you, I love the other months as well. I love fresh vegetables and fruits, nothing like your own! Summer vacations, outside in the pool, being outdoors more, going barefoot, it’s endless! Like yourself I just braided my onions and garlic, even had an abundance, that I was fortunate enough to freeze quite a bit and give to my neighbours. I feel the same way, I tend to have my echo play some of my upbeat music and surprisingly it tends to put a spring in my step and puts me in a better mood to prep and cook my meals. I tend to visit a florist twice a month and get a floral arrangement, tend to mix it with my flowers, have some beautiful peach coloured roses. Also has a wonderful scent. Thank you for your inspirational vlog, as always find them uplifting.

To touch on the ordinary note - I love how ordinary Victor’s “smash cake” and candle are! With my firstborn I remember feeling almost obligated to buy an expensive tiny cake with the perfect candle to sit on top. It’s little examples like this that, for me, relieve the pressure to uphold any rules and create my own traditions.
