In 2019, my husband Mathew and I, sold everything we owned and bought a run-down, 200 year old farmhouse on 50-acres on the coast of Maine. Our dream was to start a sanctuary for farm animals. The original barn was long gone so we gave ourselves three months to build one. Soon after, animals needing a safe haven started to arrive.
The house still needs renovation work, but we are doing our best to put it back to how it would have looked when it was first built in 1807. We do everything ourselves including caring for permaculture gardens, animals, nature, and our vast forestland. We love old fashioned things like antiques, Tasha Tudor, Beatrix Potter and cottagecore aesthetics.

Thanks for sharing the feeding routine for the horses on the farm. It worked out pretty good. I would be interested in a video feeding ALL the lovely boarders you have in your care. I truly miss my farm life but I have my memories. Take care Jenny & Mathew
