The key game changer in Man City is Rodri. His absence impacts the team far more than KDB's absence.

They probably won't have a better opportunity than last season. Treble hangover and some key injuries for the City last season. Strange that the past two summer windows Arsenal have strengthened their defence when the gap in their squad is up front. When they went through their purple patch of not scoring, it was screaming out they needed a striker; it got glossed over, by the good run of scoring after. If they stay relatively injury-free, they have a good chance, but I just feel last season was a huge lost opportunity, and of course they could still add some firepower before the window closes.

For the past three years, they’ve been saying who will beat man city and yet no one has done it. I remember last season the first half Liverpool were on top and everybody was saying it’s gonna be Liverpool and then Arsenal was the one that kept even with man city battling for the top two spot. The only way Man city loses is if Man city team wise has a bad year because they are still the team to beat!!! Remember Kevin De B was out nearly the whole first half if the season. 4-peat done now 5-peat champs coming!!!
  • Arsenal need to finish strong. They always start strong but in the middle of the season is their weakness

Some people just project their bias on others. Arsenal are good enough to win the league and keep moving forward with every decision they make off the pitch to not just stay competing but getting better. It is obvious they will win the league soon.

Most of their players aren't even in their prime yet, so they're yet to hit their highest level. Whether it will be good enough will depend more on City keeping their levels up for another season. If Arsenal get Merino and Gyokeres that will be a huge game changer. Arsenal won 18 of their last 20 games last season - most years, that kind of consistency wins you the league. But City have pipped Liverpool twice on form equivalent to that. The opening six games will tell us a lot considering Arsenal plays 3 of last season's top 5 away (Villa, Spurs, City).

Jamaica would be smart to try and recruit Smith-Rowe. He’s actually a quarter Jamaican and would really help improve the quality of their midfield. Jamaica would actually be a legitimate threat to be the best team in CONCACAF if they had been able to successfully recruit all the sons and grandsons of Jamaican immigrants who moved to England. The number of quality English players with direct Jamaican heritage is very high. Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge, Ivan Toney, Kyle Walker, Sol Campbell, Danny Rose, David James, John Barnes, Andy Cole, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ashley Young, Theo Walcott, Chris Smalling, Aaron Lennon, Kalvin Phillips, Andros Townsend, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Darren Bent, and Wes Morgan are just some of the English players of direct Jamaican descent. The island has a heritage of creating huge talent from its diaspora for a nation so small.
  • I can't believe after the past 2 seasons people still want it to be Arsenal's "turn to win" ....no one wants them to earn it
  • Without a good striker who can score 15-20 goals they will still fall short again

Now we have a strong back four, Arsenal can land the league title. Calafiori is an important signing for us.
  • Although I am an Arsenal fan, we must not forget that Manchester City is the team to beat. We have to use last season's disappointment as a source of motivation this season.

I feel like they're still missing sth up top... and maybe even sth in midfield... but if they fill those gaps, they might just win it
