I spent over 20 years as a full-time artist, with successful exhibitions in New York and even painting abroad in Germany. But when I left New Orleans, I didn't have a space to create anymore. So, I took a break from art and became a barista. It was nice to have a change of pace and not worry about self-employment for a while.

Life threw some curveballs my way, including the loss of my father, which made me shut down creatively. I ended up driving for Uber Eats just to make ends meet. Then, my friend and fellow artist, Tamara Adams, reached out. She couldn't stand to see my talent go to waste and invited me to her studio to start painting again. I had worked in her studio before, and she always welcomed me with open arms.

I'm incredibly thankful for Tamara's support. Even though I'm taking small steps, I'm back to doing what I love most – painting. Join me on my vlog as I share my journey of rediscovering my passion for art.
