Batman and Robin (2023-) #10 Review

Published 2024-06-11
In this video I give my thoughts on Batman and Robin (2023-) #10 and the big surprise at the end of the issue.

Plot: SHUSH RISES! Man-Bat’s plans have been unleashed on Gotham. The only person who can help Batman and Robin save the city is…SHUSH?! Can she set aside her hate for the dynamic duo and help, or will she let her quest for revenge overcome her?

  • One of my favourite isse in this series And Flatline and Damian really cute and well established through this.

It’s been a mixed bag this run, but still miles better than anything Chip Zardarski has written. I was probably more excited to see Goliath than Maya, but I agree there is potential with both Damian and Maya at Gotham high. It would be nice for them have their own thing. I’m not particularly sold on Flatline, though I understand why people like her. It’s kind of like they think because Bruce has a thing for bad girls, Damian must have a thing for bad girls. I suspect the reason I liked the Damian and Cassandra(Winder Girl) pairing in DCeased, is because it averted that. Excited for them to finally to deal with Bane. I feel that business has been unfinished way too long. Realistically Absolute Power will probably delay that reckoning.

I was a bit "meh" on the issue until the scene with Flatline. From that moment the issue picked up steam....to the reveal. Those two reveals made my day. Goliath and Maya, like Flatline, are great characters. I would really like a series of young borderline heroes traveling the world series with Damian, Flatline, Maya, Goliath, an older XXL and Black Swan. The end definitely made the issue for me. Great review!
