  • FFDP does a lot of songs about stuff people don’t like to talk about. Come Down is a heavy one.
  • As a 5 time combat retired veteran, the things we have to do weighs on us heavily but what we can't understand is how 1 second you can be sitting there joking with your buddy, the next they are gone, and we wonder why we survived it. Survivors guilt is what really gets to us because in our minds, it's not fair and we think we aren't good enough for their sacrifice and would rather it have been us. Thanks for your respect and to all my brothers and sisters, I love you so much!
  • @Sabamonster
From a disabled combat vet, thank you for this. "Oh please let me trade. I would." That line alone does exactly what he says. It stings.
  • Im a veteran and I really appreciate all your support and kind words. Keep doing what you are doing! Also your father has my utmost respect. Thank him for his service
  • @moribus420
Big Offspring fan here and this is one of my favorite songs from them. FFDP brought this song into a whole meaning for me being prior military and the struggles myself and many of my friends go through on on a daily basis.
  • @SliderFury1
Thanks for being vulnerable with us today. And thanks to your dad for his service!
  • @aerialview3933
I served under Reagan, and Bush … my first deployment was against Libya, my last was DS1… thank you for giving us a voice.
  • Thank you for this reaction video. Did a tour to Iraq for a year. Lost a good friend of mine, this song hits home every time I hear it.
  • @Djcimofficial
Have to listen to the Offpsrings original version. They have the album and a Piano Version too.
  • @8erttownsk
The fact that some people can go through that and still have the mental fortitude to volunteer and do it again cuz they know what it means for the future of this country amazes me. I'm a veteran and have been to Iraq in 2009 and I never saw combat luckily but I still didn't wanna go back. Much love to all my veteran family, the future soldiers watching, and to all those lost in action. Thanks for your reactions ❤️
  • @hippylong
You made my whole day.. I feel better about tomorrow knowing there is quality people like you. I thank your mentors and your parents.
  • @Sleep_Diety
Thank you for this reaction and for honoring our vets and active duty soldiers out there.I am not a veteran but my father fought in desert storm and I seen the trials and tribulations he went through after coming home.I am a police officer and in the last two years I've lost two of my brothers in the line of duty and I still think about it every day.
  • Thank you for your genuine emotion, and for your father. As a veteran and still serving in other capacities overseas it means a lot when people genuinely care. For all of my brothers known and unknown; love you all. And to those we have lost you are not forgotten, and we miss you every day. Thank you for this real emotion it means a lot to all of us; though you do not know us as we are strangers to you. Keep doing what you are doing.
  • @A.Tohono-voice
This is a great cover. Please take a listen to the original by The Offspring
  • The Offspring first played this song, when I lost my grandfather passed away, this played as we were taking him to his grave and I cany hear this version. He is the only person I would trade places with.
  • God bless all of our hero veterans. RIP dad. He was a 10 year army combat vet with 2 tours in Vietnam. I miss my pop so much
  • @ShadowStrike28
Thank you to your father for his service! It is a source of great pride for any of us that come from military families or those who have served. I have said before and I will say here, being handed that folded flag is an experience no family should ever experience. For those of us who have risked coming home beneath the flag, we take it very personal when anyone disrespects that flag. This song and video hit me incredibly hard as I actually lost one of my best friends to suicide after they served. It is such an incredible sacrifice they make to keep us safe and they tolls it takes do not go away easily.
  • God Bless You , this is so hard to watch. Thank your dad for his service. My son is alive but he is a Police Officer with PTSD from being shot 3 times in a burglary call. He had to retire.
  • @joespradley2323
Thank you so very much🙏🏼 I’m a Desert Storm combat Veteran and I appreciate all you do and say about those who gave their life for our country and those who served. My wife and I watch “We were soldiers” with Mel Gibson. It’s a very good movie that both myself and my wife can relate to, we even cry quite a bit during the movie because it is so very emotional when family members are notified of their loved one being KIA. Thank you again for your reaction🙏🏼🌹😞
