I just installing a Montana the exact same way except the wiring. Since there is an empty accessory plug on the main harness, I used that one. By plugging in to that, the GPS powers up when I start the machine. When I shut down, the Montana asks if I want it to stay on, or shut down. If I opt to stay on, it just relies on the internal battery which is always charging when the sled is running. I really like the setup and the Garmin is easy to see with a decent screen. The nice thing about this, is that the two plugs are right next to each other when I want to remove the cowling. Just unsnap both plugs at the same time and the hood comes right off. Great idea for the install that doesn’t require any drilling or mods to the cowling. Thanks.

Anything for us mountain riders, Axys RMK? Garmin 67i, might go backpack mount, but would like a sled option, that's out of the way, for rolling it over, and tree riding.
