Went I went vegan, I went giant salad vegan. I stopped wasting and throwing out veg, to using and buying lots of veg. My salads are for dinner and include beans, seeds, avocados, seaweed, nutritional yeast and many types of veg. Nothing gets tossed out.

I love that you're learning your followers really how to cook, instead of only specific recipes. So helpful and unique šŸ˜„šŸ‘šŸ’«

I worked at a great farm to table restaurant. Her salads were epic. She added different lettuces, cabbages, and fresh herbs. Most had two dressings, and crunchy seasoned nuts, dried fruits, cornbread croutons on some of them , beans. They were all so good and in the spring we had sunflower sprouts instead of regular sprouts an amazing flavor.

Salad temperature also is a thing. Some people hate them chilled or just cold. Either let it warm up to room temp or add hot ingredients and mix. ā¤

Also: bite-size. Do whatever you love, you don't have to chew on large leaves.
  • This is, easily, one of the most inspiring and immediately useful vids I've watched in a VERY long time. It will be immensely helpful as I continue to lose weight (49.1lbs so far) and become what I call, vibrantly vigorous health. Best tip: take the time to make your own dressing. Lately I've combined a spoonful of tahini with chili-spiced hummus and avocado. Y.U.M. Thank you, so much, for this vid!

    Ty so much Nisha <3

I'm in recovery from an eating disorder and in the midst of improving my relationship with food. This video could not have come at a better time for me. Cheers to enjoying delicious food and this precious life!

As I better curate my social media feeds to surround myself with empowering content, it brings me great joy that my beloved subscription to RainbowPlantLife models this goal. Much love

just bought your ebook! I hate vegetables but I just turned 30 and need to become a salad tolerater! Hopefully, one day I will graduate to a salad person. I did not know how to cook at all and started watching your videos in 2020 (and bought your instantpot cookbook!). After 2 years of watching (and mentally preparing haha), I finally got started and have been cooking your delicious recipes exclusively (I may or may not exclude a vegetable or two or three). I'm happy to support you! Because I'm supporting my health and the animals!

ā€œCrunchy goodiesā€ is my favourite food label, lol. Thank you SO MUCH for this video! You mustā€™ve heard my soul crying out for salad. Itā€™s the one thing Iā€™m, sadly, not imaginative with.
  • @melanieburnett4034
Just purchased your e-book. While I already consider myself a salad person, I'm always looking for new recipes especially in the winter when salads are a hard sell to my family. Thank you so much!
  • @libentia
The intro of the video already had everything great. Sarcastic salad eating, fun office reference and a stance against diet culture. Love it and I'm also a salad person now. Restaurant salads usually make me sad with how uncreative they are. Better make my own. Thanks for the inspiration!
  • @deborahkim163
I think I just had this epiphany that salads don't have to be strictly a certain type- that you can do whatever you want with the flavors you want to include. Thank you for the e-book, I can't wait to explore what other possibilities I can create with salads!
  • @ReignBeauofTerror
Thank you! This video couldn't have been more timely. I've been trying to get more veggies into my diet, but I've always thought I hated salads. Turns out, I hate monotonous salads!
  • I have been in love with salads for a while too. This week I had an Italian style chopped salad with fresh basil, pepperoncini, sun dried tomatoes and roasted chick peas. I got some new tips from this video. I have a big bag of dates right now. Thank you very much !
  • @kellyro77
I love adding marinated baked tofu to my salads. I make a "bacon" flavored marinade for it and it's amazing. Makes me eager to eat my salad. Agree 100% with all the recommendations - texture, color, flavor are all key. Also, try adding pickled red onion to your salad. Flavor bomb. And I have a pre-made seed-mix that I sprinkle on all my salads: hemp, sunflower, chia, sesame, flax, pumpkin.
  • @candicec2294
This video is everything! Iā€™m trying to have a raw meal a day. Salads is where itā€™s at! Iā€™ve been doing a lot of your suggestions, and I canā€™t wait to try the suggestions that Iā€™ve not thought of yet.

Iā€™ve been following you for years. Thank you for developing delicious and not diet culture recipes and content! ā¤
  • @sparky9839
I love all these suggestions and find that some kind of creamy dressing is what really makes my salad satisfying. I make my own with either cashews, tahini, peanut butter, walnut, pumpkin seeds or avocado. Any seed or nut butter blended up with other ingredients for a balance of tangy, creamy, sweet, salty, aromatic and spicy if desired. āœŒšŸ»šŸ’š
  • @julem9924
I love your disclaimer at the beginning! Made the broccoli salad twice already the past few weeks and both times I was amazed by how great it is, especially the dressing :) It is really fun to cook something delicious where you truly experience that every flavor profile is accounted for. Greetings from Germany!
  • @anug8643
Just got the ebook. Nisha please consider authoring a full salads only and soups only recipes books. You make it so much fun to make salads. I was one of those people who thought salads were boring made from some sad looking, sometimes wilted greens. I totally changed my opinion after seeing your videos on youtube....the one about three salads with three different salad dressings. I sincerely hope you will author salad and soups booksšŸ¤žšŸ½šŸ¤žšŸ½
Thank you for making me a salad convertšŸ™šŸ½
  • @kathebrank
Thank you! It is easy to fall into a pattern with salads that becomes boring. This is a great refresher on making them fun again. We belong to a CSA, and receive amazing fresh produce every week. It is a great way to try new things that we would not have normally bought at the farmer's market.
