Le Sserafim's song is definitely inspired by both songs. The afrobeat genre has been having its moment, so it would make sense Kpop would get some inspo from it
-
def sounds like they're exploring afrobeats since it's poppin rn!
-
Smart and Water use amapiano beats so they will sound a bit similar.
-
This is why its so weird to me ppl hating on black ppl for being kpop fans of even doing kpop, when kpop is largely inspired by black music.
-
I thought of Woman when I heard Smart for the first time!
-
Now the same people that were saying kpop should stay Korean are saying that it's amazing that kpop is getting inspo from afro beats. Make it make sense
-
It’s amapiano it’s a music genre famous in South African countries
-
Kinda sounds like Rema's 'Calm Down' too.
-
Le sserafim in their amapiano era😭
-
Knetz discovered r&b and afrobeat! What’s next?!
-
I genuinely thought they covered 'woman' 😭 but it sounds good
-
It gave me Doja Cat's Woman and Rema's Calm Down vibes especially with the word repeating. Also while we're at it Good Bones = Olivia Rodrigo Swan Song = SZA (Kill Bill) Seems like they're taking a lot of inspiration from the western music industry
-
They mixed Afrobeats & Amapiano for that song
-
People discovering afrobeat in 2024 💀💀
-
If you live in an African country, you’d know a lot of songs have this feel to it. They’re not exactly the same but you’ll get the same vibe when you hear it. I am saying this as Nigerian before anyone starts asking for my credibility.
-
koreans will do anything but accept that kpop is 90% inspired by black music
-
It sounds exactly like what it is: an amapiano beat — KPOP discovering afrobeats, Brazilian Jazz, Amapiano and co is so interesting to me after all the hip hop we got for the last decade. Let black people create it and see them adapting it in 10 years from now. Next NCT comeback gonna follow the Coupe Decale sound, I‘m telling you now
-
well they made a song inspired by ampiano so i’m not surprised it sounds similar
-
I love the way they went from antifragiles addicting beat to smart with an even more addicting Beat
-
The Swan song also sounds like Sza kill bill.
