So, what we already knew: It was originally good, a solid product to sell, something that let people bond. If they oppose it, it's generally safe to assume any of the above.

Like Nightmare on Elm Street 3, nerd in a wheelchair got to be a wizard who could walk when he played a fake DnD game. No cripple wants to be a cripple in their imagination, unless they may have grown up in a school system that told them that victimhood is the new "rockstar".

I am a 44 year veteran of Dungeons & Dragons, and I am done. Just like "modern" movie & TV entertainment, as soon as I encounter a bullsh*t trans/diversity/feminity agenda I am out. The mindless producers of this ridiculous hot garbage make it all to easy to go back to the movies/shows/books/games before our culture became a platform for woke idiocy.

It is always, "we hate x, but we love money" If I ever make something Lovecraft related I am going to put a disclaimer in it saying how much I love Lovecraft and want to be his bestfriend ever. Also one of Lovecrafts two best friends was gay.
  • @bloodrunsclear
Gygax and Arneson will live long after this garbage is forgotten
  • please tell me that you're safe now. I'm worrying if the matrix attacked you or not
  • @tzashua
Hey man what happened everything alright I am really looking forward to more movie reviews like you did in the Doctor Starnge multiverse of madness
  • I remember the first time I ran into this was in a 2e Spelljammer write-up on Beholders. Some British author, whose name escapes me, painted Beholders as villains due to their "racism and xenophobia." Even as a child I had to raise my brow and ask, "what the hell is this crap?" If you're not a D&D player, know that Beholders are the creature that inspired the flying orb monster in Doom, the Cacodemon. It made no sense whatsoever but I learned early on that this anti-racism is a religious derangement. I knew it was only a matter of time before these religious lunatics would be calling sharks "racist" for biting black people or the weather "racist" for raining on black people.

It may not pass an inclusivity review, but it probably passed a quality review. And attracted enough attention to turn what was a gaming hobby into a nationally recognized brand.
  • @RupertTheOctopus
I guess i should play 3rd eddition then if i decide to play dnd
  • @theJoPanda
I like your firm opinions. With age, I get more open minded. There are a few things you say so firmly with a close opinion that could be slightly more open minded. Aka the wheel chair or whatever. If someone wants to be hermaphrodite identity next to the automaton wheelchair next to the dragonman and the fighter woman, I don't care and will make it work. My point is we have to show logic and open mind, and acceptance, altogether and not be judgemental douchebags like WoTC is acting. :)

In regards to hp lovecraft, the reason the disclaimer is there is because he espoused those views at the time of his penning of material. Hence it can be assumed that those views might influence the material.

now that's a huge pile of cow dung of a video if i've ever seen one. Good thing is, your video is a solid argument for AI-made content, so congrats on that I guess
