I can’t tell you how much this song means to me? It’s so cute and pure and I’m automatically transported to the soul of a young innocent farm girl gazing out the window at the retreating form of her love. It’s just...so sweet? The “oh my word” and the little giggles and the high notes and the harmonies please lord kill me. This song just made me beyond happy a year ago when I found it (actually how I found you in the first place) because I was just a lil closeted gay girl and suddenly this series from my childhood had a song? Sung by two angels? Written by a third angel? I memorized this thing in a day, I love it so dearly you have no idea

This is to all of the Mothpool shippers out there- We've all read the new prophecy. Do you remember the Fire and Tiger prophecy, like how they were destined for each other? This likely meant Brambleclaw/star and Squirrelflight, but, y'now, in Squirrelflight's hope, Bramblestar was a jerk to Squirrelflight. But, Leafpool is also Firestar's daughter, and Mothwing is Tigerstar's daughter. The prophecy could have meant Leafpool and Mothwing. However, Leafpool is dead as of Squirrelflight's hope, so there's another prophecy never fufilled.

They're she cats of different clans and are both medicine cats. They're 3x forbidden, but still love. I can't not ship it.

While this pairing is not "canon" in the books, I chose to write this song about how I read these two characters. Often times in the books these two, in my opinion, acted fairly lovingly towards each other. So I created this song with a longing/loving feel between the pair. I am not Erin Hunter, so my songs are not canon lol! I choose to write my songs off what I took away from the books! Anyways hopefully that clears up a bit of confusion! Leafpool and Mothwing may not be shipped in the books but ho boy they're shipped in my hEART <3 Thanks so much for watching guys!! :D

I REALLY enjoy that Mothpool is always voiced by the same person in Blixemi songs. Moonfrost18 has become my permanent voice headcanon for her, tbh.
