HOW TO REVERSE PARK - Easy Basic Steps For How To Back Safely Into A Stall Or Bay Parking Spot

Parking in reverse is a driving skill that comes in handy in many real-world situations. It's a useful thing to learn, because it's definitely safer to pull out from a parking spot when you're leaving, than it is to back out of it. I always reverse park at a big event, such as a concert or baseball game. When the event ends and everybody's trying to leave the parking lot at the same time, it's a lot easier and safer to pull straight out into the traffic than it is to back out into it.

This procedure is known by several different names: reverse parking, 90-degree reverse parking, reverse stall parking, or reverse bay parking. But they all just really describe how to back into a parking space. In this video, I'll show you how to find the reference point that you can start backing from in order to safely and easily reverse into any parking spot. I'll show you how to go out and practice this until you're confident that you're ready to try it in an actual reverse parking situation. Knowing how to reverse park will make you a better driver, and may even come in handy to help you pass the road test for your driver's license.

When I tell you this taught me more than the class I paid nearly $400 for 😭👏
  • To all the teen drivers here in the comments, I was like you guys too when I was first started learning to drive but don’t be afraid. Just gain confidence and stay calm. Being nervous or stressing about your driving exam will make your driving skills worse. You guys got this!
  • Not me being picky about which spot I chose in a empty parking lot lol

me and my aunt went to a parking lot that had practice cones. I tried to do a back-in for like 30 minutes and kept messing it up so she got in the drivers and said she'd show me how then she backed in and ran over the cone. I felt a little better about not being able to back in after that.

I wish my dad had explained it to me that calmly I feel like thats why the majority of us new drivers are nervous because of the strict driving coaches.

This has been the hardest thing for me to learn. Reversing in general confuses me but this video gave me some clarity. I will put it to the test tomorrow.

I've had my license for a while but I never learned how to properly back into a parking space. Thanks, this was helpful!

Reverse parking into a spot is objectively the better way to park in most situations. I've been a full-time courier for 14 years, and as such I'm sure you can imagine I have countless miles under my belt. I've been backing up into spots for quite a few years now and I'm glad to see somebody showing newer drivers how to do it because it makes it a lot safer for everyone involved.
  • Y’all my test is 3 days from now. I’ve failed my drivers part 2X. This time I manifest I’m going to get it, wish me luck y’all

What felt like months of searching for a video to help me reverse park, you definitely save my life and my mom neck from getting another wipe lash thank you so much, I have my driver test tomorrow so you were a big help
  • @epi3916
I just want to thank you sir. Your videos helped me pass my road test earlier today. I can say you helped me more than the instructor at the driving school I went to. With prayers and by watching all your driving videos gave me the confidence to pass it. I was worried because my learners permit is going to expire soon too but now I'm very grateful and happy. More power to your channel sir, I'm now a subscriber of yours. GOD Bless to you.

Due to COVID, I wasn’t able to take a class and I am so glad I found your videos! I passed my test on Friday-thank you so much!
  • @aaronbrooks745
Thanks for the video 🙏 It’s been a very horrific story for me😢 I don’t know why I don’t have luck whenever it comes to getting my test it’s either I’m with a bad supervisor or I’m just the one with the problem, I have failed my test thrice now and I was fed up not until I was told to hire a test drive professional who could help me skip the test and get my license which I did and I got my license now.
  • @leechaerin2any1
Thank you for this ! My dad didn’t know how to explain it to me , even though I’ve been driving for 2 years already I was always scared to do this ! Thanks !!
  • @bisolaspice
