I always enjoy driving I-66 once you get in to the rural areas like this, nice video!

Nice work :) Pavement seems very smooth compared to many other Interstates.

@Freewayjim Thanks, this section is really nice in the Fall... it was hazy, hot, and humid that day so the visibility was not the best.

@bsdpowa It can be a real nightmare when it gets old, but generally its just as smooth as asphalt.

@GeorgeWashingtonX Thanks... I think part of the reason why those little town haven't changed a lot is because the wealthy people living in the area have fought off a lot of growth and development. Which can be a good or a bad thing. Depending on how you look at it.

@bsdpowa You mean on the bridges? Asphault has a tendency to buckle and pothole much faster than concrete faster when used on bridges. I think concrete should be used a lot more than it is because, while initially more expensive, lasts much longer than asphault.

Great videos. What about making some new videos in the new year?

@Bryant5493 It's in the Foggy Bottom area. If you look at Jim's video of I-66 West from last year... he starts at the Eastern terminus of it.

@aswchris It generally is... Virginia has great rural interstates but its urban stretches of interstate could use some improvements.

@FreewayTitan I don't think they're even considering it.... they're more focused on Corridor H (US-48). Virginia also has zero interest in expanding I-66 beyond its Western terminus.
