As they approach the watering hole, the predators decide this is a good opportunity for lunch, but they are sorely mistaken. The herbivores push the lioness down a small rock ledge and nearly trample her in a series of fierce attacks. The predators did not expect this and only managed to escape. Usually, male lions do not hunt with lionesses because their thick manes are too conspicuous, but here, the tall trees, low bushes, and grass provide a favorable environment for them to get close to the buffalo and launch a powerful attack.
Some male lions start hunting together, silently following unnoticed trails to approach the buffalo, who are oblivious. When the decisive and agile big cats launch their attack, it is terrifying to watch. Male lions are ready to shield each other, but even alone, each can take down a young buffalo. The attack begins!
