A glitch brought Microsoft computers crashing worldwide. It triggered blue screens of death in Times Square. Most major airports across the U.S. Were brought to a standstill. A FlightAware map showed how emptied the skies were as hundreds of flights were grounded. LAX was a sea of unchecked baggage and frustrated passengers. Thousands of Republican convention delegates were stranded in Milwaukee, along with Inside Edition's Steven Fabian.

LESSON: There should always be a BACK-UP manual system in place for something like this.

We've become too dependent on interconnected systems using the same software. If a mistake can cause this -- imagine what something intentionally nefarious could do?
  • This really shows how much control and reliance these tech and software companies have over the entire world
  • "Can't even call 911...can you imagine that??!!" As a retired 911 dispatcher, I can assure you that many people did.

Computers man. Sure they help with a lot of things, but society should still be able to function without them.

My dad got stuck in Atlanta for 5 hours, he had to get a rental car and drive home. He got home at 5 AM, absolute chaos!

This dude told the world his wife is 40. That's what I took away from this. Bless his soul.

It’s like that scene in war of the worlds where that tripod causes every single technology to fail even cars can’t run now

Hospitals should still have the good old folders with written papers about patients at least for back up

this whole thing caused my company's debit and credit systems to go out too and so many customers kept getting mad at me because they couldn't use their cards

Whoever loused up that code is having the worst day of their career.
  • This is what we feared would happen on New Year’s Day in 2000 because of the Y2K bug but luckily nothing really happened at the time thanks to it being patched in all major computer systems at the time.
  • I didn't noticed until now about microsoft crashing worldwide. I wasn't really on my computer at all earlier today because I was busy taking care of things like going to work and do chores xD.
