They did an attempt for top prize on $500,000 in season 42 on the daytime Plinko, but never achieved.
The former record is for daytime, NOT night time/prime time. The all time record is $41,000 on the nighttime version with Drew Carey. Please, don't confuse with daytime and nighttime versions of this show.

This is a moment that really shows what I like about Drew as a host. He usually seems genuinely happy for big winners, and many winners in general. Something Bob sort of lacked towards the end.
