The Perfectly Juicy,Moist and Flavorful Thanksgiving Turkey ๐Ÿฆƒ/OLD SCHOOL HERB ROASTED TURKEY

OLD SCHOOL ROASTED TURKEY!!
This recipe if u follow it correctly will give you the most beautiful moist flavorful turkey you ever prepared
Recipe
1 turkey 10-20lb
OLD SCHOOL HERB butter
OLD SCHOOL turkey brine
1 cup large chopped onions
1 cup large chopped celery
1 cup large chopped carrots
Open and rinse turkey
Remove bags of giblets and necks

Place turkey in in large pot or bucket
Pour brine over turkey let sit for 24 hours in fridge
Remove turkey from brine and completely pat dry with paper towel

Place carrots onions and celery in cavity of bird
Completely baste turkey with HERB butter
Season with salt and pepper
Add 2 cups of water to pan and place in 350 degree oven and cook for 3 hours or until completely cooked
Make sure you baste every 30 minutes with HERB butter

    Agreed. Brining a turkey first locks both flavor and moisture IN the meat. Skipping that step would be like not adding salt or vanilla to a cake batter but only trying to flavor the frosting. (Yuck...) Adding the aromatics into the cavity and with that herb butter under and on the skin? WOW. Flavor city! ๐Ÿ˜

    GM Chef and OSSF family, if I may, now is the time to prepare for all of the good stuff that we can freeze for later. Weโ€™re getting ready to cook for or participate in 3 big time feasts. You may want to stock up on D.Tree containers. Prepare a complete portion of all your favorites. No potato salad or jello based. And start wrapping slices of all those delicious cakes and peach cobbler. With 1 or 2 in the household, you can pull something good out of the freezer for Sunday dinner in Jan, Feb and Mar. Then repeat for Easter! Donโ€™t waste food, when you can freeze it. Enjoy the holidays!!!โค๐Ÿ˜Š
