In this video I demonstrate how I fixed a broken window in my house quickly and easily for under $100.

FAQS

Cost:
The window pane for this particular project cost me $75.

Where to buy:
I order my panes from a local mom and pop glass shop. They mostly do auto glass but their glass supplier also makes residential window panes. I did a map search for glass shops and started calling them up, asking if they can get double pane (argon filled) window glass with grids inside (if grids are needed)

  • Very well done video. EMS had to break into my house one night when I was having a diabetic seizure. My nephew and I have been working on replacing the broken glass from the inside door. After watching this I feel much more confident that we can do it. Thank you.

Excellent clear and concise tutorial. I've been procrastinating repairing a bathroom window for about 5 years where the inner glass has cracked. I'd been holding off because I thought it wouldn't be easy. The steps you've shown prove that just about anyone can do this repair. Thank you! 👋🏻

Thank you! This is the only reason I have a premium YouTube subscription. People as yourself have saved me from numerous trial and error frustrations. Not to mention the money I able to save performing home repairs I consider myself capable of undertaking. Edit. I did hit the subscribe and notification bell.

Excellent video, my window is the same style as in you're video, thank you for the clear, step by step instructions. Now I know how to fix mine. Take care & be well 👍👍👍
  • nice on the pain measurement. I usually wait a day for the silicone to dry -then use the knife to remove excess. Every time I mess with wet silicone it's all over the window and my hand.
