  • Hello. The carcano uses a .268 bullet and ppu loads a .264 not going to shoot well also they cut down old rifles that were rifled slow at chamber and got faster at muzzle so when it was cut off it left to slow rifling in short section that remained
  • I love Carcanos because I can't help but root for the underdog. Never have run across one with the right price though.

It looks like a nice rifle! You got to bury the front sight in the bottom of the v notch rear. Most 6.5 Carcano ammo is using an undersized bullet, should be using some .268 bullets instead of .264. I had a really nice M41 that I sold like a dummy and it shot ok, but my hodgepodge M38 that I put the together shoots decent with a rough bore.

We need as many organizations that we can get for the 2A, but the nra needs to get their stuff together if they want people to support it
  • Sighted to 200 yards if I remember correctly. So as what happened to me, every round shot way high.

Another interesting video as always. I have four Carcano and among them have this exact model. All of mine seem to shoot 6" to 12" high at 50 yards which seems kind of normal for a lot of old surplus rifles. I bought them because they were inexpensive and don't shoot that much because of the availability and cost of the ammo. The first one I bought was the same model that Oswald used which is why I wanted one. The next three carbines I bought because they were less expensive than any other surplus rifles at the time.
  • There's a YouTube channel that shows the evolution of the pistols the ones that the pirates used has the same type of trigger pull

Those long rifles converted to carbines are not supposed to be very accurate due to the gain twist rifling they had. The twist rate is too slow because that part of the barrel is gone. Good enough for close combat. I’ve got a 1891 cavalry carbine but haven’t shot it yet. Bought some reloads but they are too long to chamber. I’m going to have to buy some dies and rebuild them.
  • When you single load a carcano you need to do it by taking the bolt out and sliding the round into it, if you single load it like a normal rifle you'll eventually break the extractor.

The Italians made a fine Beretta submachine gun but their rifles not so much.

No Kennedy was harmed during the making of this video.
