The MDA Labor Day Telethon was an enchanting yearly variety show that ran for half a century. Hosted for many years by Jerry Lewis, the telethon featured top stars from the world of music, comedy, and Broadway and was like no other show on earth.

Enge looks sooooo handsome in this suit! I wish he would sell it to me! So handsome, a perfect gentleman, a projectionist, works so hard to make all of this concerts the best they can be for his audience. Enge, you are a beautiful man and definately have chosen the correct profession. No one else can ever sing and dance the way you do. Thank you dear Lord for sending him to us! He is my precious Enge! Oh man my parents loved him! We saw him around this time in Tahoe and me being a kid rushed out and got his latest LP, unreal show too! I recall he took a break for a moment and had a glass of wine with this gal, he said..."excuse me ..I'm a little thirsty after laying by the pool all day in the warm Tahoe sun..." . He then proceeded to wipe the seat off himself and gave the napkin to the gal....very loose show and sang amazing. Is still great today!
