First, Disney XD in India gets turned into a Marvel channel (which surprisingly has some non-Marvel content like Pokémon, Beyblade, and Asian programming like Arjun, Prince of Bali and Upin and Ipin (I heard the latter is disgusting) while other versions of said channel get closed due to Disney+ or for no reason. Disney+ is also affecting the existence of Disney Channel and Disney Junior as many of their international versions closed after Disney+'s launch.

0:00:00 - Intro + How the shutdowns all started
0:00:37 - Last minutes of Disney XD India before becoming Marvel HQ (which sparked a lot of theories of other countries following suite)
0:02:30 - Disney XD in India is gone, Marvel HQ is here (from 1/20/19 to 2/28/22; the channel later became Super Hungama), also mind the English-Hindi mix, it was like that when I found the video

0:38:00 - Disney XD UK's final minutes (my buffering glitchy footage)
0:42:25 - Disney XD in the UK is gone (no thanks to the glitchy stream)
0:44:33 - Wrong "United" version of Disney Channel
0:44:56 - This Disney Junior UK stream came back a little too late (UK and Europe's logo is yellow and not red)
0:46:03 - Disney XD UK's last minutes (clean footage by danibumpers and Luchy Bumpers/Spider-Cat Bumpers)

I feel so bad for the kids whose parents cannot afford Disney+, the shock of waking up and finding your favourite channel is gone must been hard.
  • @Weezeler
Disney channel: Turns 25 Disney: Happy birthday Disney channel: Whats my present Disney: DEATH
  • @Tonini08
Why did they put more effort into the end of club penguin than the end of an entire channel

No bumpers, no goodbyes, nothing. Not even a half-hearted "thanks for everything". These are legitimately the only channel shutdowns I've ever seen that don't feature some kind of special sendoff. It feels cold. They don't even have the courtesy to kill the feed at the end of an episode for most of these, just ending it right in the middle of a show. Really does give you a sense of how disposable Disney views their audiences
  • This has to traumatize some kids, I would assume. Imagine you as a kid, late at night, watching TV without your parents knowing, when suddenly the screen shuts off and says that it has ended. That would be horrifying…
  • @Pixelcraftian
”Next week, you’ll be able to watch the impending doom of this tv network and Ben 10 at 6!”
  • It really hits you hard when you realize that for the next generation, people our age are going to think about cable TV in the same was that we think about VHS and dial up.

The ones like India’s were actually cool. They counted down to it and made a custom transition for it, in case anyone was watching. The ones that just cut to black or the cable company screen are creepy and the ones that play bumpers to fill the moments before that are extra crappy since it’s advertising stuff you literally can’t watch anymore.

1:06:45 Holy shit, the channel gets shut down and all that's left is the logos of their rivals, almost staring at you soullessly. Makes me shudder.
  • @fatcat1414
There's something oddly cold and intimidating about the replacements that seemed to occur without so much as a goodbye. You'd think a company that's targeted towards kids would put something more comforting to tell their audience what was happening, instead of a sudden change to a different channel or some monotone info screen. Hell, some kids would even panic a bit if they saw something like that without explanation.

Disney is evolving, just backwards Edit: Looking back at this post, I don't really care about the likes. It was fun to chat in replies though.

I genuinely feel bad for kids coming up in today’s world of countless streaming services. One of the greatest parts of childhood in the 90’s/early 2000’s was everyone had the same programming, and we all could talk and discuss what we were watching. Now programming is spread across countless different streaming services. I am so glad I grew up in an earlier time.
  • @EmeraldMan25
5:53 "Aww, you can cry, it's ok if you cry. I might cry." "Just like that." Can't think of more fitting lines to end a Disney channel with.
  • I feel so bad for the next generation they don't get to experience that feeling when your gonna check what time your show is, make sure you get to watch it, feel guilty you missed it, I just feel so badly
  • @Legoguy9875
It's honestly depressing seeing how most if not all of these shutdowns happen unceremoniously. Even poorly received online games like Anthem get formal farewell messages or announcements, meanwhile Disney just pulls the plug on all of their owned TV networks without so much as a hint that it's happening. They don't even have the courtesy of cutting the broadcast after a commercial bumper, just cutting them off even if they're in the middle of showing a program. Really goes to show that Disney just didn't give a crap about their TV presence once they sunk their teeth into the streaming market.
  • @CreamyCraig
This feels oddly reminiscent of when TV channels in the United States switched from analog to digital; it just ends abruptly.
  • @Snorlax-
The fact that French Disney channel ended with Phineas and Ferb as it’s last program, one of my favorite shows, saddens me a little bit
  • @evolve330
Nearly all of these shutdowns basically went about as if nothing was happening. Makes it ultra sad when the bumpers talk about "next week on Disney XD" and things like that when in reality — there is no next week for them anymore. At least Foxtel was respectful enough to give viewers an advance warning for Disney Channel.
  • @jexcala7485
Considering the Jungle Book was in production when Walt Disney died, it's oddly fitting that the last thing Disney XD would play in India would be the Jungle Book
  • Disney: Happy birthday, Disney Channel UK! Disney Channel UK: Hey thanks, I can't believe I've been around for so long. Time flies by Disney: It sure does. Speaking of which, stand still for a sec Disney Channel UK: Why- Disney: So anyway, I started blasting
