  • 1:32 - Oh wow! that's me, Vancu, my toon on there used as part of demonstrating the use of teleportation holes! If memory serves me right, that GIF was from when I was showing off ToonTown Infinite, a closed down ToonTown Private Server. Awesome video by the way, always nice to see a good informative video on ToonTown Online! Also glad that both ToonTown Rewritten and ToonTown Corporate Clash are still up even after the Original ToonTown Online shut down.

It’s nice to find another Toontown fan who knows a lot of lore! This was a very nice video that covered lots of facts that the average player may not know. I myself have also dug around to find more and more lore and tidbits about the game for a secret project, so I managed to find a handful of other lore tidbits too. Here are a few: - Gyro Gearloose is also the inventor of Gags, on the safe trading card, it states that Gyro Gearloose is the “Chief Gag Inventor” and that the empty safes come from Scrooge McDuck that are filled with concrete to make them heavier. - Mickey is the Mayor of Toontown, while Flippy is President of the Toon Council. A common misconception is that Flippy is the mayor, but it’s actually Mickey, and the position of Toon Council President was given to Flippy by Mickey himself - Flippy destroyed the first Cog (a Flunky) with a cupcake and did the first victory dance. - Donald’s Dreamland is stuck at midnight. Donald’s alarm clock got stuck at midnight which as a result caused the entire playground to stay at night. - Donald’s Dock used to be a sunny tropical paradise before the Cogs invaded. This is seen on one of the playground postcards for Donald’s Dock - The Brrrgh used to be a hot area before Gyro Gearloose’s Super Duper Air Conditioner went haywire and froze over the entire playground. The machine cannot be found under all of the snow. This is seen on the Brrrgh postcard. - Fluffy was a gift from Deedlevon Doodlesworth of Doodlevania after he was saved by Toons after being attacked by Cogs during his visit to Toontown. - The robot in the installer video is theorized to be The Chairman of Cogs Incorporated. Although the video was eventually replaced with a new installer video that showed what the game is about, the video was still used in other media and references to the events of the video such as on Toontown Japan’s website and Winter CD, which included updated background graphics for the lab. - The hidden Bossbot Castle in the golf courses is most likely an error where the castle would normally show up in the background of the final room in the final floor of a golf course. The same castle can be seen in an unused Bossbot HQ themed Minigolf course as well. The hidden Moon underneath Estates is a remnant of a Day and Night cycle for Estates that was ultimately scrapped. This Day and Night cycle was planned for the rest of Toontown as well. - In a Toontown winter poster, you can see a small green unfamiliar entity near a snowman, which looks strangely similar to a Goon. This could be theorized as Gyro Gearloose also creating Goons who were also turned evil by the robot in the installer video. I could go on an on about how many other hidden lore bits there are but that’s just a few of them + some easter eggs. Again, really great video 👍

I loved playing toontown as a kid! I didn’t know some of the original ideas behind the game so that was interesting. I still play toontown and it will always hold a special place in my heart

This video is really well researched and scripted. :) My 8 year old self came out at the sight of that old launcher.

I used to play this game all the time when I was a kid, and played Rewritten throughout college. You put me through a nostalgia trip haha! Nice job on this video 😊

amazing video to eat my lunch to 10/10, devastated to find out goats could have been a toon species but they didn't win :(
  • @raylessSun
the crater thing makes so much sense 😭 and I will defend doodles till I die RIP honeysuckle (2004-2013) he was a real one
  • @Spunney
I'm pretty sure it's documented that the moon under the estate wasn't an easter egg but was just some holdover from an idea to have some form of implementation of a night sky. I think there's even code comments do suggest this? I'd have to look Edit: Yeah there's a bunch of unused code relating to a day/night cycle or similar feature.

the lore can be found in the trading cards and at epcot panels when it was in beta. they pass it by mail when it became a subscription the lore and events. you did not explain the real odd of the game thing about donald duck has 2 lands. meaning missing toon a greedy toon due to duck man. the creator of duck comics. cute video
