In this video, I went fishing down in Anna Maria Island, Florida for first time ever. I ended up going to the Anna Maria Island City Pier and met up with a subscriber who worked there. The pier was loaded with bait fish and the spanish mackerel, jack crevalle, and ladyfish were blowing up everywhere. After learning the popular technique of snagging a bait and immediately casting it out; it didn't take long to start catching a variety of fish.

    Anna Maria is one of my favorite places in the world.....love the piers there. So cool to see you fish there and the technique for snagging bait. Think you missed an opportunity with that perfect sized lady fish to use as bait on the big snook under the dock! Would love to see you do another video at the Rod and Reel Pier on Anna Maria just down the street. It’s a hair closer to Anna Maria Pass and some might say even better fishing....All great stuff, thanks and keep up the good work!

    Massive Snook and Reds under those piers bro spend some time there you’ll catch a monster in no time especially Rod and Reel. That small bridge holds tons of sheepshead at the mouth back.

    We went there today. Friend cast net before the no net zone lol we have a bucket full of baits dump half out. Got 20 spanish macs 14 and up toss all 13 and under. We have so much bait we were giving away baits while were fishing lol. Had a blast!

    I love the rod and reel pier, next time your in Anna Maria/Longboat try the piers in the surf there is everything from snook to hammerheads there

    Anna Maria is my home. I wish I had had a chance to give you some advice on spots! Looks like you had some fun. Just up the road from there to the west at Bean point is some really great sight fishing for snook in the surf. There’s some real tanks that cruise by along with some nice size tarpon, and the odd bonus shark.
